A lot of people seem to waste their time on the main site trying to defend their current generation console of choice. But one must not forget their roots. Without the great consoles of the past - the great pioneers of the industry - gaming wouldn't even exist today most likely. So I present to you the console battle of yesteryear.

    Only with the true power of SNK Neo-Geo could developers finally give arcade perfect ports.

    To be honest I had every single one of those systems aside from the Neo Geo, but I did end up having a lot of SNK games. So it's hard because NES had River City Ransom, and SNES had Chronotrigger, Seiken Densetsu 3, and more. Genesis had the awesome Treasure games. TG16 gave me the love of Keith Courage, Sidearms, Ordyne, Bravoman and other apparently obscure TG16 games I owned. Master System for the old school Sega games before their Genesis counterparts did it better.

    But I'm pledging to the Genesis side for this one, I played it the most. Also I was one of the few that had the Sega Channel at the time which was one of the (if not THE) pioneers for online game delivery, yeah baby.  The Sega Channel was so dope, 20 bucks a month and you get like 50 games streamed to your genesis, that's the way I got to play Alien Soldier back in the day and a couple other imports/hard to find games.

    Your nothing but a Segabot. Only when developers use Neo-Geo as the lead platform will we start to see truly next-gen games.

    Mega Drive all the way, it was truly the ultimate home entertainment device with unlimited possibilities for gaming and combined with the 32X and Mega CD Only Sega gave consumers the true next generation experience and allowed developers to fully realize their creative visions.

    To this day I still want a Wondermega :(

    Super Nintendo Entertainment System is clearly the undebateable console with true next generation 16 bit graphics.   SNES has lush and vibrant colors and rich gameplay.  Super Nintendo pushes the graphical bar with next generation 3D graphics such as Starfox, Killer Instinct and Donkey Kong Country. Games that can clearly not be done on Sega.  Gayga Drive bots can go play their Vectorman while Dark Sniper enjoys true gaming bliss like the true port of Doom.

    Blast Processing cant even produce Doom in true form.

    Your SNES mode 7 scaling abilities are but a pimple on the ass of the Neo-Geo's true hardware scaling 3D capabilities.

    Only by utilizing the untapped power of the Motorolla 68000 CPU will be begin to experience truly groundbreaking nex-gen visuals.

    This is a vectrex, and it's so ghetto, in order to get a HUD display and colors, you had to overlay a graphics filter over the little screen.

    The thing that really killed the sega for me was the sound-chip.
    Some themes were made really well(Treasure did a great job), but it did not have the quality Snes had at the time(SPC700).

    Some sega games were fun, but there were only few i could actually stand because they had decent music.

    Sega and Nintendo system were both great but i go for Snes.
    ( never had a Neo-Geo...only trough Emulation )

    " Super Nintendo Entertainment System is clearly the undebateable console with true next generation 16 bit graphics.   "

    NO NO NO NO!!!!
    CPU= 16bit
    Sound processor = 8bit
    GFX = 15bit

    But yes power to the snes.

    Mode 7 can do far more than your overpriced Neo Geo.  Who would pay 600 US dollars for that crap?  That's why SNES got ALL OF YOUR BEST EXCLUSIVES AND THEY LOOK BETTER ON SNES THAN THAT OVERPRICED PIECE OF ****!!!!

    I guess SNK just isnt making the money needed to fund Neo Geo so they had to port it to a superior system.
