I have a question/concern. No one can really argue that the gaming market is booming, and along with that comes everyone trying to get there hands in the market, to include websites. So now there are seemingly millions of sites that review video games. Well by the nature of what N4G is they all end up here. So for days, weeks, and sometimes months we will see tons of reviews for the same game, most saying nothing different. Here's some examples, the games spore and too human, new releases from with in the last month and theres already a ton of reviews from different sites, most of which are extremely small relatively new sites.http://www.n4g.com/Search.aspx?q=spore+review&channel=-1&contenttype=-1&searchin=title&sortby=date
My question is, are there specific guidelines on to which site is reputable enough to submit their reviews? it seems with every new game there are 40 new sites that are reviewing a game. Maybe possibly tie the review stories in with the game under reviews and not make them so much news stories. I know it does this already but in away where it doesn't show up on the news page as much. So instead of them going through the review process they go directly under the game in the reviews section and people can view the stories there. I just think that right now there are soooo many reviews for the same game that at times thats the only news being submitted. I personally think you can get a good idea of the review score from 5-10 sites, theres no need for 50+ reviews. Just an idea.
