If you guys didn't watch Gametrailers interview with Jack Tretton concerning the exclusive game from Rockstar this is what went down.

GK: "Last year when you were on the show, you broke a little bit of news about this coming exclusive Rockstar game, right? Do we have any update from that, about the next great franchise from Rockstar?"

Jack Tretton: I would love to tell you that we do, I hope something is imminent - but it's dissapointing that we stand here a year later and don't have anything definitive to announce."

GK: have they given you any hints though, do you know anything about what we're going to see?

JT: We talked about different properties but we haven't homed in about that we're both excited about to say " Yeah that's the one"

Hopefully, Sony will be able to secure Grand Theft Auto V as an exclusive since they don't have a game in development for the exclusive deal right now.

thats unlikely seeing as GTA4 360 outsold GTA4 PS3.

Rockstar would be mad.

We all know Sony could afford to pay Rockstar for GTA V to be an exclusive, the question is whether or not Sony wants to.

We all know Sony could afford to pay Rockstar for GTA V to be an exclusive, the question is whether or not Sony wants to.

well if they're still deciding which game its going to be - its likely not going to be GTAV

I mean seriously - if one of your options was GTAV do you seriously think they'd need to "think about it"?

Well, with EA trying to take over Take 2, Rockstar might not be considering working on GTA V until everything is settled hence why GTA V wasn't an option. This is all speculation of course.

So Rockstar only has one exclusive for Sony and it's not in development yet? Would that mean LA Noir is 360 bound then? I don't think Sony would be gunning for GTAV exclusive seeing that they would have to put at least +50 mil down for it because MS layed that down just for dlc.

Okay Here is Rockstars games list in obvious order of quality.

GTAIII>Red Dead Revolver>Bully>GTA Vice City>GTA San Andreas> GTA4>The Warriors>Manhunt>Manhunt 2>Table Tennis.

So basically, I would prefer see a new IP from Rockstar, Red Dead and Bully were great. Everyone says they are one trick pony, they clearly aren't. GTAIII was great and GTAIV sucked monumentally.

Sony will get a new IP from Rockstar but I think ajck is beign a bit harsh here. Notice GTA4 has onyl just come out, there is exclusive DLC to work on and there is still the EA takeover business. L.A.Noire is still exclusive, it's developed by Bondia nd Produced by Rockstar, in turn the IP is owned by Take 2. And Red Dead 2 is vapourware.

Sony's Focus this gen is first part exclusives...Third party love is just gravy. Microsoft on the other hand i believe is putting third party over first.

its most likey a new IP thats why Rockstar and Sony are picking which IPs look like they would succeed.
