Basically a guy on the PS3forums sent an email to Team Ninja regarding Trophy support on Sigma and here's what they answered:

Dear Mr.Keiron

Thank you so much for enjoying our NINJA GAIDEN series.
As you said in your e-mail, we are now working on the sequel very hard.

We are definitely willing to make trophy system available in our sequel.
In order to deliver our new NINJA GAIDEN as soon as possible , we have to
continue to
move forward further.

I'm sorry that we cannot patch trophy system into NINJA GAIDEN Sigma.
However, I'm sure that your skills (NINJA skills!) will help to make you
perform prominent moves
in our sequel!!

Please look forward to our new NINJA GAIDEN while brushing up your skills
further!!

What do you guys think about this: "We are definitely willing to make trophy system available in our sequel"

Could this be a hint of NG2 or Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 coming to PS3 or just a mistake from the Team Ninja guys and they wanted to say Achievments?

Status: offline 		Well it sure sounds like they're making a new Ninja Gaiden for PS3, and they're just lazy enough to shovel out the same game twice (or even 3 times) so yeah it probably is Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma, or something along those lines.

Status: offline 		Microsoft published Ninja Gaiden 2.  With a few additions or subtractions, I bet a Sigma version could be done while also not causing any legal trouble. 

That being said, I doubt it and the rep probably doesn't know the difference between trophies and achievements.

God of war wins in story but no action game can ever surpass NG2 combat system...Its just not possible
