Status: offline 		So my source who whispers me things from time to time, has told me one that seems like its WAY to good to be true. MS wants to really solidifie their First Party because they don't want to have to deal with situation like EA buying Bioware, and are buying 4 studios over the next year.

Realtime Worlds- Crackdown/ABP
Q Entertainment- Rez HD
Silicon Knights- Too Human
Mistwalker- BD/LO

Now to my standards his info seems really sketchy and right now I would put this as a massive pipe dream

Status: offline 		lol I am not going to shoot him, he was the one who told me that pretty much no matter how little VP sells (the first one) they were going to continue the series, and low and behold VP:P and VP2.

He's told me other things, but they haven't happened yet.

Status: online 		I heard, rockstar was buying realtime works. Msoft needs to solidify their first party but that kind of stuff takes a lot of investments, new positions to be filled. Its probably easier to just pay for exclusives

You do have a good point with the position and logistics aspect. Which is why I think this isn't real.

However MS said they only look into buying companies that they have worked with, SK- Min 3 games, MW- min 3 games, RTW- MMO, Crackdown, Q- 1 game so far.

Its highly unlikely but if they were going to do it these would make sense.

i could of predicted the viva pinata thing
here's one: by the end of 2011 there will be another banjo this time 100% focused on vehicles (its a xbox1080 exclusive)

Status: online 		Well, everyone has been saying Msoft needs to buy more first party and all that but it won't happen just like that. That kind of deal would take a while to draw up. I can see them picking up a studio a yr but i don't know just seems to far fetchd to me. But it is a smart move nontheless

I doubt it though

Squeenix are doing bad and looking for mergers, the 360 is all but dead in Japan

it seems like a perfect buy for MS

I mean think about it- they snatch up FF13 and make it exclusive, world is set alight

it could even kill off the Playstation brand

after all, FF is how Sony made Sega and Nintendo their bitches

No, try only actually 4. Mistwalker, Rare, Starbreeze, Lionhead. A majority of 360 exclusives are third party. But yeah, MS seriously needs to get more in house devs. I want to know what's up w/ XNA, is that decent?
