If you a shooter that involves tactics and a sweet blu tooth headset that comes packaged with the game, so you can speak to your teammates and plan things out before you get your ass handed to you, then Socom.

If you want a platformer that goes beyond the platform genre and allows you to create levels that are only limited by your imagination and have friends jump into your levels or jump into other peoples levels with you and so on, get LBP.

What are you in the mood for the month of October.

That's the thing. I'm in the mood for both. :(. I've been a SOCOM fan since SOCOM 1, and kick ass at it. Im always MVP in the beta matches. But I've been looking forward to LBP just as much as SOCOM. I'm getting RA3 for xmas anyway, and I don't want to wait for SOCOM or LBP. I suppose I could steal them and end up in the news and cause a flamewar for saying THERES TOO MANY GREAT GAMES!.

I'm already skipping out on R2 and that was already a tough enough decision. :(. I'm too lazy to choose... I can't rent games because I have to pay for FFXI or Gamefly, and I'm choosing FFXI. My dad is too much of a cheapskate to buy anything. Pah.

they are both good games, but i think the big thing with lbp is going to be user created levels, so get socom and then get lbp in a month or two and then youll have TONS of levels to enjoy..

I think I'm going to go with LBP. I negotiated with a friend about this, he's gunna get SOCOM and we'll just switch back and forth every so often.

And about the renting thing, theres a few video game renting places around here, but they're 30 miles from my house in the middle of nowhere. With gas prices the way they are I don't see any way my parents will drive out and get one game for that. Noone here drives a fuel efficient car. The most fuel efficient vehicle we have is an S10....

Lol I suggest you get the Gamefly 2 gameplan. I think its 22 a month, no late fees and after a while you can buy it for a cheaper price. Heck maybe just stay with those 2 games forever

Though availability wise that might be an issue.

But still maybe check that out. As a University student it helps out alot.

Please go to Gamefly, as Snoop will be handsomely rewarded with commissions from Gamefly! Doing so will make the great mod happy and he may not ban you for future offenses!

As for me, LBP definitely.  But then again, it's my opinion.

I know about the mod part yes But i have known some people that constantly told me to use gamefly and I am unsure if he has had people do that to him, and am making sure he doesn't think I am trying to sell him something but help him out. Now whether he will feel the need to do that is entirely his choice!

I'd love to do gamefly, but the thing is.. I'm paying 12 bucks a month for FFXI. I do a crapton of work at home and don't get paid for it. My dad is just now deciding to pay me for mowing. I live on 600 acres of land(though most of it is forest) but it takes forever to friggin mow our... what I guess you could say... "land plot." Its 20 bucks a month he pays me, thats the only money I get. I get my license November 23rd and that day I'm going out and finding a job.

I'll go ahead and try and work something out with my dad. I guess I could get into my college fund, considering I'm joining the Navy as soon as high school is over. That's how I paid for my PS3 and 26" HDTV(Vizio... ;_; only cost me 400 bucks though). We'll see I guess.

I myself is seriously looking at Gamefly right now, but I can't right now as my busy work schedule only lets me turn on my PS3 2-3 a week, at 3 hours long.  The only time I can play my PS3 without worrying about waking up the next day is during the weekends.  Once a get a different job with a sligthly more forgiving schedule I may consider Gamefly.

I was just thinking from the standpoint that in order to buy one of them you have to pay around 60 dollars. So that basically equals 3 months of gamefly (a little over). Though in that case how are you going to even be able to pay for either one then Though you could do the 1 game plan for like 15 a month then.

If you can get something worked out though thats cool.

Though the problem you might run into now is the availability of those two games. If you joined say a few months ago and had the games in your queue you would probably be good.

Hey, my gaming needs during the last console gen was funded almost entirely by my paychecks from the Army! Military PXs are good in that they don't charge you taxes. Just remember not to fall into that illusion that just because you have a "steady paycheck" doesn't mean you're not going to get broke!
