A question to pose here, and that is, did anyone here actually like this game? I hear a lot of complaining about this title, saying "Too many bugs / glitches!", "Contrived inventory / combat system", or "Not enough important treasures!". I, for one, really liked the game. Yes, it had its fair share of faults, but for what it was trying to accomplish, I think it worked out rather well. Besides, as far as I know (I have never heard of GSC Game World before), this was the developers' first shot at making a game of this size and scope; any faults in the title can be attributed to lack of experience, IMO.

I have heard that, while it might feature more of the same gameplay as the first title, Clear Sky alleviates some of the problems that the original had. I'm rather excited to play this, especially because I finally have a PC that can run most games at decent-looking resolutions and can have effects enabled at the same time.

What do you guys think?

I love this game even tho there are many bugs and glitche. The enemy AI is pretty smart and fun to fight against them.

Good bye Gordon Freeman

Yeah, that's one of the things I like about this game, is the enemy AI. I have run across many random enemy groups that have done me in on more than one occasion. I have a feeling that if the enemies weren't so smart this game wouldn't be half as fun to play.

I love this game as well. It's the most atmospheric game I have ever played. It doesn't look too shabby either, actually. And the AI, as previously mentioned, is quite good. Can't wait for the expansion, which seems to resemble the Roadside Picnic book more than the first game.

Yeah... That's also what matters to developers and publishers.

:)

I will fight you.

And for the topic at hand, I also really liked the first and can't wait for the second.  It had so many great features that it wasn't too hard to ignore the occasional glitch.  I might just go play through Shadow of Chernobyl again before Clear Sky arrives...

I really liked it, it was to hard and I saved right before I finished a mission.
