I'm so happy this has been announced.  Hopefully this will get Sega the initiative to make the damn sequel.  I dont know about you but, even though I own all of the Shenmue games, I will be getting this to help Sega do something good for a change.   My boycott with Sega ends if this is released.  I truly hope that this is the start of something positive for the Shenmue series.  Shenmue is the only game that has priority over Metal Gear Solid in my eyes.    Sorry, I'm just ranting now, I'm just excited to see that the most legendary game of all time STILL EXISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You better be lucky I dont know the ending to MGS4. I would spoil your moment so good, you wont even want to play the game.

man why do people get so upset for having a game on the Wii but still complain the Wii has no games   That's it from now on every game that gets announced for the PS3 or 360 I'll have to say another game ruined by MS and Sony.

just kidding I won't but come on

I'll pass, I only played the first one, but I thought it was boring and repetitive.  Plus I was pissed that in the end I didn't even get to fight the main bad guy.  Boo.

There is nothing wrong with the Wii but I prefer normal controls over the Wii mote, I’ll have to test it 1st before I decide to buy it or not and if they release it on the 3rd/4th quarter then I will pass, by that time I wont be having the time for remakes.

wonder how many copies sega would sell if they made a compilation disk with shenmue 1, 2 and a 3rd one that completed the story, come on sega you know it would make sence if your going to the trouble of porting/remaking the engine.

Making some fresh cash out of porting a couple of games that cost a fortune to make and didn't sell originally, doesn't mean we are gonna make Shenmue 3, this remake will have to outsell everything else for the company to even consider the idea of putting the time and money into another one.

This company seems to be modeling itself on EA at the mo, trying to churn out games, with deadlines more important then quality and buying up smaller developers left right and centre.

They killed SRS because of the lack of sales of Rally, dispite the sterling work they did on that and the wonders they did getting that bloody viking battle for asgard working on PS3 after CA gave up on coding it. Take it out on the developers instead of the PR department that sounds like a typical EA kind of thing plus us testers get no credit at all where as praise is heaped on marketing.

They chucked us a bone a couple of weeks ago, taking about 200 of us to the cinema to watch Iron Man and giving us copies of the game and T-shirts but we would all much perfer it if they gave use some job security instead as we are all on 3 month rolling contracts.
