I think this game has enough of a fan base to warrant this thread.

While it's not my favorite game of all time, it is my second favorite.  Great story, awesome characters (Red XIII FTW!) and suprising a lot of replay for such a long game.  I think i've played it through about 5 times, getting ready to do it another this summer.

You mean you hope Square Enix makes the sequel right?

Anyway yeah FFVII is an amazing game it's easy to say.  Naturally I was bumed out at the loss of someone.  Specially because I seriously maxed her out and gave her the best equip and had her just primed to kick arse... what a fool I was.  They got me hook line and sinker

I always thought she was pretty crappy, I guess she was a good healer... but I think I used Tifa as my healver.

Ha, ya it's a bitch, but it's definately worth it.  Hell, just having the chocobo is worth all that damn breeding and racing.

It's still a lengthy process.

You shouldn't fight Emerald with materia, because Air Etam storm does 1000 damage for every matiera you have equipped in your party. OR you can just link final attack with phoenix summon and your unstoppable.

I always loved FFVII; I still remember so much of it even today. I think what I loved most about it was how you felt like you were both on a road trip with your buddies, yet at the same time on the run, it did not feel like the standard "save the world from the ancient evil" kind of Rpg but just something unique which I still feel even when I play the game today. I think a lot of that feeling comes from how long the game is plus how may different locations you visit. I also enjoy how the story evolves over time; it is difficult to tell who your actual enemy is and what your ultimate goal is, since it changes overtime.

Granted I haven't played any FF game since X (Except Crisis Core), but I can't believe they didn't re-incorporate a golden saucer-type place in each game after VII... even after so many players loved it.  Hell... I even bought a life time pass to that bitchin' amusement park.  :P

I know what you mean man.  Golden Saucer was awesome it even had an arcade and that's where you race your chocobo for breeding even the battle area.  Makes me want to get the game out now

Not to mention where you go on your big date with either Tifa, Aeris or Barret.  :P

Snowboarding game FTW!  I think I remember playing that snowboarding game and wondering why the hell there wasn't an actual game like that... and then shortly after 1080 snowboarding came out.  :P
