I saw some gameplay videos, and it needs a lot of work (imo)

I don't have that much hope for it. The series has been going downhill, IMO.

I think they ****ed the series, it really sucks

I loved 2 and 3 was the best, 4 was okay.

The graphics are icky... Or is that just me? But anyway, it's a psychological survival horror. My biggest worry is that neither Double Helix Games nor The Collective Inc. have worked on any decent games. Ever. I have high hopes for this game, if only because (until Resi 4) Silent Hill has always been better than Resident Evil in terms of the genre. I know it's asking an awful lot, but I'd love to see a Silent Hill game that maintains the feel of the series yet matches Resi 4 for awesomeness.

Fux yeah... They were hard as nails and actually worrying to boot. Whenever I heard their rasped breath, I really didn't want to go much further into the room.

yeah im keeping my hopes up on this one, i guess you never really know these days i mean look at what happened to the metroid series when it went 3D i thought the game was awesome!, and it was developed by another company just like this silent hill

First time I saw 'em, I ran up to one and started shooting the hell out of it - not realising that they burn your ammo like mad before they actually die. I think I wiped my entire magnum ammo supply out on one...

hey hey hey! =) newbie here... well about silent hill 5..I'll reserve my judgement until it comes out. I am hoping that it'll be good since it's the first horror game that made me scream like a little girl.

I've been a big fan of SH since the first one back on the PSone. IMO the series started going downhill at 4. I was super stoked when I heard they were making a new one. But when i found out it wasn't going to be created by the original SH team, but insead the crappy guys behind SH Origins I lost interest. Lately though, it's been shaping up and looks like it will turn out allright. We'll just have to wait and see I guess!
