ORIGINAL: SilPho Basically, we signed up to Sky broadband last week, and they have limited our broadband speed to 288kbps. That's 36kBps. Our last provider consistently provided speeds between 2 and 4Megabit, so for Sky to force us in to a 0.28 Megabit connection is ludicrous. Their reason for it is "That is the most your line can provide", which is obviously complete rubbish. This makes online gaming completely impossible, the amount of lag is unbearable, it's like dial up all over again since we have to split that 36kB across 3 PCs and the PS3. So here's a warning to everyone, do your research on ISPs, some of them won't provide you with as much as they say they will. If the price is low, there is going to be a reason for it. "You get what you pay for". To those in the UK, be wary of Sky, for me at least, they suck. I'm done ranting for now. Explain to them that you know they are liars, technically speaking you should be able to find some ground to sue them. Use that to scare them.
