I think this has more to do w/ you and your friend's relationship than the fact that you are going halves on the ownership of a Wii. The situation should be treated like any other product you would go halves on w/ a friend. Just be fair and treat him/her like you would want to be treated regarding playtime, ongoing costs, etc. If you've had it at your house for a month, let your friend have it the next month. If you both want a game, split the cost. If you want a particular game that your friend doesn't, buy it yourself as long as he/she buys some games in full as well. If you buy a game yourself and your friend ends up liking it and plays it a lot, sit down and talk about it. He/she should give you half the cost of the game or buy the next game that you both want. If you buy a lot of WiiWare or VC games, take turns replenishing equal amounts of Wii Points. Just remember that you two are friends. Don't sweat the petty stuff unless it gets out of hand and don't be afraid to say what's on your mind if you feel anything is unfair. If you think you're spending significantly more on the ownership of the Wii, tell your friend how you feel rather than keeping it to yourself otherwise you will grow bitter toward your friend and your friend may not even realize why.
