Sony isnt done losing exclusives this E3 - Jul.-15th-2008 21:45:56

Status: offline 		Now that the buzz over Final Fantasy has died down a bit and sunken into the minds of gamers.  I want to note that I strongly believe that Sony will take another blow to their exclusive lineup as another game I believe will be later announced for Xbox 360. 




For me personally, this will be gigantic news as I've enjoyed the Tekken series since 1995 only on PlayStation consoles.  So on a personal standpoint and as a fan, I absolutely do not want this to happen.  But the clues and facts are staring everyone in the face.  To my knowledge, when J. Tretton was boasting about PS3 having the best and most exclusives, Tekken 6 was inexplicably omitted from sight.   With Tekken being arguably the best 3D fighter of all time and a long standing franchise that ties to the identity of your console, it would be easy to include Tekken in the mix of great PS3 exclusives that are coming.  I truly believe Sony is in complete knowledge of Tekken going multiplatform. 

E3 isnt over yet and I believe Namco will take the stage in the next couple of days if they havent already.  It will be then when you will see an awesome trailer of Tekken 6 stating that it will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Winter 2009 or Spring 2009. 

I'm almost certain of this.

Correction: Tekken 3 was the best 3d fighter ever.
And the new KOF will be the best 2d fighter ever.

Tekken with 360 controller?

And that is one hell of an ugly box art just there.

As a gamer, I agree with you wholeheartedly.  But as a person who's vested several dollars into consoles, you at least want each of your consoles to have an identity that differentiates from the other console you have hooked up in your tv set.  All of these former exclusives going multiplatform is questioning why I should vest any more dollars into something when I can buy nearly the same exact games on one platform.  It's almost as if the PS3 is the 360 and 360 is the PS3. 

I love the fact that I can only play Tekken,Final Fantasy on my PS3.  Same with the reason why I love I can only play Gears of War and Bioshock only on my Xbox 360.

I think by now after Sony mentioning SO many times that they are now completely dedicated at 1st party its pointless to go around with the whole "ZOMG Sony didnt locked that exclusive" when it no longer works for them nor the dev 

do you also realize that right now T6 has ONLY been mention in Japan for a release date on arcades? with a "expected" PS3 port

not mentioning a game that is constantly not mentioned has more chances of being a game that is in development limbo than "ZOMG we lost and exclusive"

and if it becomes multiplat then what? cuz it will only mean Namco Bandai selling more copys...angry fanboys threatening to burn there Tekken game collection..threatning to sell there PS3s...fanboys from the other side jumping over a gained Sony exclusive they are NOT gonna buy...and then what?

Status: online 		Yea tekken might go to 360 but it won't happen @ E3. Plus i think sony and bandai made a deal for tekken so tekken arcade could run on cell processor so that might help them bag some exclusivity...who knows really. I just want to know if tekken is EVER coming out

Key word, arguably.  For the record, I own and am a big fan all of the Virtua Fighter games.  I still to this day hope for a Fighter's Megamix 2 which is Tekken vs VF.
