PlayStatio Edge comes with a seamless integration into the already widely popular PlayStation Network® and will allow PlayStation®3 owners to use their trophies earned to receive free gifts and discounts on PlayStation Network by going to the PlayStation EDGE panel located in the PlayStation Store.


Wow someone finally used their common sense to take it beyond a fvkin number and actually make it feel like i am working for something. This should be interesting indeed.

Thats Great news and hopefuly this playstation edge will do it Right because the way the 360 has done this in the past has always been sorta lame and very intermittent.
Cant wait for the end of July and for more news aboot this.
Who doesnt like free ****?

Status: online 		To be honest, this might get annoying. Trying to play through a game 100% just for some discount. Its a lot better than playing for an imaginary number but still do i really want to go thru all that stress. What happened to the days when games were fun for being fun

Status: offline 		your right this thing maybe will make some ps3 owners trophies wh0res  but if thats what they want then who are we to judge
for me if this gets implanted  it will certainly increase the replay value of the games i purchase

plus it will drive ps3 software sales up  imo  ,

and one more thing you dont have to finish 100% of the game  you still get points for bronze silver gold trophies  and isnt it better to have the option to get those trophies and the points 

I hope the rumor is true it would be a very smart move from sony

Status: offline 		Sony isn’t a saint & they need to make money of the PS3. What I suspect they will do is to take content that is already free, official wallpapers & themes etc and make them only accessible via the trophy system.

 
Let’s face it the discounts are likely to be for second rate, third party games etc that aren’t really selling to well. Trade in 3 platinum trophies for 50% of Rocketmen etc.

yea i guess your maybe right  ,  though i dont think they will do that  because it would be stupid and anger ps3 owners  , but they already have Qore  i ididnt mind the exclusive socom beta for qore subscribers  but to get Naruto Demo 2 weeks before the PSN users                    is outragous IMO  and this is coming from a guy that has a year subscribtion for qore
