Who's looking forward to it? I know I am, the Wachowski Bros seemed to have knocked it out of the park with special effects, I'm actually anticipating a BR release more than anything. My mom was (and probably still is) a huge Speed Racer fan when I was younger so some of it rubbed off on me. She however thinks it's going to suck since he's not Japanese hah.

maybe i need to see more but i didn't really like the special effects. It would probably help if i was a Speed Racer fan but i think it was just simply before my time. Though i will tell you what BR release date i am definetely waiting for. IRON MAN!!!

Speed Racer was never that technologically advanced. It was dirt roads and stuff in the cartoon. Now their driving on wipeout pulse maps

... Hollywood sure does change everything.

I loved the old Speed Racer cartoons, but I don't like what the movie has been showing. I like the campy art style and cheesy dialogue with a gigantic low budget feel to the whole thing. Now it just looks too dark and has way too much money thrown at it.
