Status: offline 		....for focusing on "run-of-the-mill" FPSs and forgetting about RPGS. Now it seems like M$ is taking the cake for the RPG genre. I really hope Sony has something up their sleeves coming this E3 because I am getting sick of hearing about Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and whatever other cookie cutter FPS they gained for an exclusive... Don't get me wrong, I love FPSs, especially looking forward to Resistance 2, but thats all their is now and days....FPSs. Ya, I'm really looking forward to FFXIII, but I don't want to wait another what, 2 1/2 years to play it? I don't know, is this irritating anyone else with the lack of RPGs on the PS3?

Status: offline 		Why do you say that? Sony hasn't betrayed you and forgotten about J-RPGs. Aside from having the biggest J-RPGs of this gen (FFXIII and FFXIIIversus), they have the next RPG from uber great Level 5 known as White Knight Chronicles. Then there's Sega's beautiful Valkyrie of Battlefield / Valkyrie Chronicles, all PS3 exclusives.

Do you really want that UE3 powered Last Remnant? Infintie Undiscovery is the only big JRPG 360. Star Ocean is multi.

The thing is that while Sony has focused on crappy FPS games like Haze, MS has also gone for crappy J-RPGs like Last Remnant. Seriously, chill out man

Well, that's a western RPG and what MS got during it's confrence was all J-RPG.
Plus, Fallout 3 is multi and is too big.
Seriously, Fallout 3 > All-of-2008-&-2009's-RPGs-Combined.

Status: offline 		Fvk owning, as PS3 owners, it is our responsibility to voice our concerns when we don't feel sony is taking the steps that represent us. Its not as bad as everyong makes it to be because those games will be timed but even as timed exclusives, its not something that should happen. All i can say is the unannounced sony exclusive better be all that is cracked up to be because as far as i can tell, sony isn't doin ****

its a picture that is linked to another picture if you click on it.

But I really do hope they announce more RPGs. Hopefully they canned Getaway and Eight Days to make new IPs that are RPGs. Seriously, if you can't get others do make it for you, make them yourself.

Now im playing though whatever ps2/360  jrpgs i can find so i have a pretty meaty backlog to play   When i pick up a ps3   which will most likely be for GT5 or killzone 2 depending on future bundles im sure more will be out or at least announced so il have my bases covered.

Status: offline 		Am I the only one who is even alittle interested in Rise Of the Argonaughts, I think it looks really promising and the fact that is about greek mythology is just icing one the cake. 

I do also have to agree though that Sony has dropped the ball quite a bit so far on the RPG front they don't have many announced and I curious to see if we will even get new info on the ones that are.

All I can is sony better start gettin square to work on that FF7 remake.....or even better my personal favorite game of all time, a next gen remake to Chrono Trigger.

Status: offline 		I'm just saying. With the PS2, I loved being able to go rent a new JRPG every weekend. It seemed like they mass produced them for the PS2. I guess we just have to wait but even Sony said that the PS3 was a FPS console...... I just hope they get over that phase on every genre. I really think Square would be more comfortable of releasing more games on the PS3 if they would just release FFXIII, because you know dam well thats going to sell tons...but thats going to take forever. I'm sure MGS4 will make a great turn out for PS3 sales in Japan so hopefully companies can start gaining some trust for the system... Guess we'll have to wait and see..
