Wow late night gaming FTW - had a few races with Dragunov (I think he beat me most), but this one guy i_love_cookies was owning the field every race. Would have beaten him on sugar rush had I not crashed And on Colossus canyon I was ahead of cookies the entire race - until the very last corner where he beat me by less than half a second. I don't know which time zone Dragunov is in but I was up until 3AM lol (I'll blame my poor skill on tiredness). Is it an exploit that everyone was using on Cascade Falls? I swear they kept thowing themselves off the edge only to respawn a lot further up the track. And whilst I use it all the time, I still think the major shortcut on Sugar Rush is not intended (the one near the start where you cut through the trees and go through the wide tunnel) - I thought it might be a shortcut when I was first getting used to the track, but when you go off the side a little bit wider it replaces you as though it's not allowing you to make the shortcut. It's also completely unfair on anyone who doesn't know it, and makes the other two sections of track redundant.

ORIGINAL: Austin_SJ Should I get motorstorm first or just dive into PR? Dive into PR. The original Motorstorm will irritate you with its long load times, annoying 3D vehicle selection and lack of tracks. Also, I doubt if people are still playing it online, and anyway, PR's online is so much better. If you were planning on making your way through the festival mode, don't bother - all the races are the same. With only 8 tracks, and only 1 which it gives you a choice of all vehicles on, it gets very repetitive. Practically all that changes is the difficulty of the rubber-banding AI - and whilst it's not that much worse than that in PR, all the races are 3 laps so you notice it more and it's just annoying to race through 3 laps only to have to restart, because it's only the last lap that makes a difference. Gameplay-wise, they're the same, and there's not exactly a story to catch up on, so buy the sequel.

ORIGINAL: Dragunov Already finished it. Man i sucked today. The ranked we have in colossus canyon i managed to pass everyone in the first curve except the guy that was first. I catch up in the second lap and managed to pass him (ENRI65 i'll rape you at any cost next time) but he goes kamikaze on me and the two crushed. After being trampled by all the people behind us i managed to end 4th and i was the faster in that track. That's why i hate ranked. I'll play a little now, everyone can join! PSN eldioni30 Man Thats classic ranked BS. Some people cant stand it if your faster than them so they have to resort to violence. custom games are much more fun i agree. lets race some more today k?

Motorstorm 2 is an excellent game. It takes a little getting use to but when you do it is a lot of fun. Some of the races are challenging but that is what makes the game a good over all experience.

As of today, I am in the platinum club!! It took a bit of grinding to get the winner trophy, but I did my last race online and it's so great to have finally got there! By the way, once I'd earned my platinum, it didn't recognise that I had earned it and said: "Over-Achiever - Unlock the other 49 trophies (49)", yet it said I hadn't got the trophy (even though I could see it in the XMB). I restarted the game and I'd got it and the Atlas Earthquake. Is there anything else it unlocks, or is that it? (It didn't tell me) It feels a bit weird to drive I'll have to get used to it. Trophy grinding is a pain sometimes but I love this game so much I had to complete it

Trophy grinding is a pain sometimes but I love this game so much I had to complete it Nice!!! Lets have a Dumptruck rally then, only atlas Arizona Allowed, all tracks ...i just want to take this time to commend a person who has worked on "his game" and has earned my respect, and i'm sure many others behind the wheel of these 4X4 beasts. that honor goes to none other than dragunov, aka eldioni. now of course there are others here tha i know from M1 like logontree and PuffNStuff that have "street cred" already, but i raced eldioni when he was learning the tracks and let me tell you, most of you folks will have a tough time hanging with him if he gives you his all and gets a little "dirty"... i'll be on in just a little while and will be looking for those ready to have some fun. i'm sure most of you are aware of the desperate outcry that thousands of us have been pressuring EVO to do, which is to release a patch for the game that will prevent small nuisances from making a 9.5 game into a solid 10. the game has been out for a while now, and despite a graphically beautiful, and technically sound game, it's the small glitches that make people upset and remember the most. with that said, this is still by far the best off road racing game of ALL-TIME and is a testament to great British game development. that's one reason why i've been going back to get my Wulff Enduro and Molotov Drago...the replay value is SKY HIGH. ...congratulations again Dragunov, you have greatly improved your skills and deserve the first annual All-Madden Motorstormer Award.

Thanks Maddens, you're a fine Texan driver, still the fastest with the bike. Send me an invite anytime, preferibly not so late That's one of my favourite things about MS:PR, agressive conduction. Sure you still remember my school bus ;) @celtics: buy it, i'm sure you can find a bargain

Is the splitscreen multiplayer any good? ...don't want to go on a harangue here, but honestly this is flawed logic. There is nothing wrong with M1 at all. There is still no other game like it except for part 2 of course, but there are plenty of tracks and challenges to keep you busy and the a.i. is still just as staunch. There is no "annoying 3D" selection as that is an option (you can change it to quick 2D if you want) -- and sadly Austin, isn't aware that plenty of people and vets like me still play M1. Dude get them both. believe me, if you're a fan of racing in general and have a real knack for competition, then you need to pick it up. truth be told, but some people still love M1 even more. i love them both and maybe, so will you. i swear sometimes i think FUD is a disease......( all in all, just play things for yourself and stop relying on other people's corny opinions -- like mine!)
