Kon Haha it's funny hearing things like "TR copied Uncharted" because i'm pretty sure it was the other way around. old TB and UC only share a premise with Indiana Jones; they take jobs to find old relics but then the situations always escalates to something much bigger and that is it. But the reboot not only took the heavy cinematic approach, you can actually feel how much they took from Uncharted by just seeing a couple of gameplay videos. When Lara goes through narrow spaces, the third person cover, the stealth mechanic, the emphasis on animations, seamless cinematics, the almost automatic platforming... It's actually a lot of stuff if you ask me because the old TB games never had any of these mechanic. And I'm not saying that TB is a rip-off because even though it's obvious that it took a lost of cues from Uncharted the game's actually doing its own thing too. Like the survival aspect and I even heard that it will have some RPG elements too. But the old TB games were archaic to say the least so what exactly did Uncharted took from it? Nothing.

Both have equally douchebagy protagonists that survive by pure luck. I think Naughty Dog just had a movie marathon one night and it was Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and an after party of Tomb Raider. It's a lot more plausible than blindly assuming it was an original idea with no reference to the material that made the game what it is which we all know is B.S I could totally see a Naughty Dog employee raise his/her voice and state: "We should use the douchebag essence of Brendan Fraser for a game protagonist!".

redDevil87 Nathan Drake ain't nothing like Brendan Fraiser from The Mummy. Go replay Uncharted. They're both douchebags, they are one.

lol i find it funny that some people criticise uncharted for linearity and little to no interaction. yet from reading a hands on preview the *un uncharted killer* is no better in terms of gameplay in fact everything sounds scripted. so i wonder will tomb raider 2013 going to get the same treatment? or are people going to put their rose tinted glasses on ignore it?
and they say the gods of hell can't fall...yeah right

redDevil87 CD had enough attempts to reinvent the formula but failed many times, it's no coincidence that after the Uncharted series came out Tomb Raider has had a complete redesign. That seems kinda contradictory. CD has tried many times to reinvent the formula, it's no coincidence that they're trying to reinvent it again? Also, did I miss one of the previews or something, because I don't recall seeing Lara trotting around an AK and murdering hordes of foreign baddies.

thebudgetgamer Kon Walking Dead is an adventure game, Heavy Rain isn't. It's an interactive movie. I think you don't know what adventure game means. An adventure game is a video game in which the player assumes the role of protagonist in an interactive story driven by exploration and puzzle-solvinginstead of physical challenge.[1] The genre's focus on story allows it to draw heavily from other narrative-based media such as literature and film, encompassing a wide variety of literary genres. Nearly all adventure games (text and graphic) are designed for a single player, since this emphasis on story and character makes multi-player design difficult
