I'm a Baseball fan and I would like to debate about it.....

I was a Seattle Mariners fan when I first got interested in baseball.  My fav player was Ken Griffey Jr, and the team's line-up was pretty good (one of baseball's best IMO).   Pitching was their weakness and when you have no good pitching in baseball, it's like playing in the NBA with no basket in your side.

When Alex Rodriguez was signed by the Mariners, I got exited, because he was very talented, played SS very good and was a great hitter even at his young age and with his thin body.

I followed the team till the end until it was inevitable for it to break.   Griffey's injury, Edgar Martinez was getting old, Jay Bunner needed good players around him to shine and Alex Rodriguez wanted money.

Didn't have any choice than to look for another team, because I'm from Puerto Rico and there wasn't a team from here, only a lot of us playing in different teams.

I started to like Boston Redsox, because they were the underdogs at that particular time and because I hated the yankess.. :)

Suddenly the announcement of Alex Rodriguez signed by the Yankees plague ESPN and every other sports news channel.  I got exited, because I really liked A-ROD, but I just didn't like the Rangers.   I hated the Yankees, but there was always something that made me follow them every year.  Maybe it was Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams and Ruben Sierra... I don't know.

To finish...   I got very exited about A-ROD going to the Yankess and slowly started to build my interest for them and to this day I'm a big fan of the yankess and I love the new team with some veterans, but with a good amount of young players.

A-ROD has been critizied about almost everything, but the fact is, his numbers are always there in the regular season and he's the reason the Yankees have being able to reach the playoffs the last few years.   He isn't the best post-season player, but he is a big part in this team.

*****Anybody interested in arguing with me or to give his view on what team or player is the best, is welcome.

Sorry for the long post

:)

awww...baseball, that and basketball, and soccer...well pretty much anything that isnt football(american) i can not stand to watch, but i love the games.I did like to watch my high school team play so i could yell at the other teams...one of the reasons i was voted most school spirited when i graduated.

But, idk, i usually root for the yankees when i have to, i went to the game 5 of the red sox vs some team in the playoffs in October for my bday(not my choice but it was an expensive 3rd row behind the dug out seat so i couldnt pass up on it).

I guess I can only watch if i was there in the stadium, but i cant stand watching other ppl playing football at a stadium b/c i wanna play and mistakes piss me off, so i stick to wa  tching it on tv, or playing...cant wait for my season to start up...only like a month or 2 left
