I have traveled to a few cities these past few weeks and during my visits I end up going to the local stores. I noticed something after a few visits to Walmart and Target, Playstation 3's are hard to come by. I have even asked sales associates if they noticed the lack of PS3s on the shelves and they have confirmed very few PS3s have arrived to their stores, even when demand has risen after the release of MGS4. Then it dawned on me, Sony may be clearing house. The the eve of their blockbuster MGS4 release why would Sony not have more PS3s on hand for retailers. I have a theory, is Sony using June 12 to help get rid of their current 40 GB SKU? A few weeks ago it was revealed that Sony was about to release, what some have speculated, a new SKU. So it seems Sony is using MGS4 like a vacum-cleaner to clear out retailers to make room for a new SKU, and just in time for July's E3. My prediction is Sony is releasing a cheaper SKU with a dualshock 3. What do you guys think is going on?
