Within mere hours, IGN's exclusive first look at the new Wii exclusive FPS game, The Conduit, has blown up. I just want to say that I have not been this interested and impressed by a Wii game since Brawl. My jaw litterally dropped when I saw this game.

I really hope they can aim for the top with this game. It's only about pre-alpha form, yet it looks to be one of the best looking titles on Wii. It is supposed to have customizable controls like Medal of Honor Heroes 2, and the developer said he took insperation from MoH: H2, and Metroid Prime 3 for the controls.

Now, what could make this game almost perfect for Wii standards?

- A deep story, or at least a good one.
- Online multi player. It's almost a standard for FPS games.

I'm a little nervous because of the devleopers past games. None were FPS games, and none were very good, but they weren't very bad.

I also want to say to the people who say this game needs to be on 360...

Hearing about some new awesome FPS for 360 is just so typical. And everyone rags on the Wii for not having a good selection of hardcore games. But when Wii finally gets a hardcore game, people instantly start saying it should be on PC/360/PS3. What is wrong with you people?

I'm happy to see a new game coming out for the Wii, and it being an FPS (something the wii is rather lacking in, quality wise) is even better.  Hopefully it is a great game for Wii owners.

You know a lot of people like to say they have exclusive details about games and a lot of time people want them to make a news submission about it which of course they can't because thats not how N4G is set up. But I think the blog feature is great for breaking exclusive game info. In other words this sounds great and should be a blog post with more detail if you have the time.

Yeah it certainly is nice to see a 3rd party take the time and effort into making a game for the Wii.  I'm also glad that it's a fps because it is true that there is not a lot of them out.

Hell, I think if they can make the multiplayer better than heroes, I'll drop some cash.  I wish more games put 4 player splitscreen as a priority though...The wii is more fun with irl friends.

After playing Metroid Prime 3, I was convinced that the Wii has a unique opportunity among the consoles to really bring the FPS genre to new heights.  Even if Conduit were to simply copy MP3's controls, it would have so much going for it.

I really do hope that this title has an online multiplayer component because online play suits the FPS genre extremely well.  I was impressed by High Voltage Software's Quantum3 tech demo and was happy to see that the engine already has a networking component (not demoed, but listed in the feature set).  Although there has been no mention of online play yet, I would like to think Conduit would have it if the game is to truly show off the Quantum3 engine.

Yeah to showcase the engine with online play would be very nice and hopefully they do it well and some offline multiplayer fun

and I agree that the Wii does have an opportunity to make fps even better.  Just need a few more like Metroid along with the options of Heroes 2.  For it to work though there would be a need of a lot more games then 3 though

I still hope for an amazing Red Steel 2.  All it did was show promise to the few and was laughed at by the rest

LOL, do you think it's lame to email high voltage software about multiplayer splitscreen, cause I just did. >.>;  I think it would be an awesome addition...it'd be the game after I play brawl with my friends.

Regardless, if the game ends up having multiplayer splitscreen, I know who to give props to

I think this game should have online multi player before split screen. The Wii is in need for some more quality WiFi titles, in my opinion. Especially in the FPS department.
