I already talked to Sonarus about this, and I think I should open this up for discussion for you guys, too. I don't think it should be Final Fantasy 7 that they should remake for the PS3, as great of a game as that is (and assuming that is what this rumored huge announcement is that Sony will be making at the TGS, from what I hear there is going to be something that will put the FF13 thing in shame as in how big of an announcement it is). I love FF7 and all, and I think that is about the best PS1 FF game out there. But, to me, they SHOULD make Final Fantasy 6 for the PS3 and use the power of the PS3 to expand the story of that and expand what you can do. If anyone here doesn't remember that one, FF6 was the final 16 bit FF game, and they hit the jackpot there. Full customization of all characters, no character that you were forced to have at all times in your party (like the later games did). And what a cast, as well: 18 in all (sorry, Sonarus, I miscounted). 16 were met through the story, and two were secret characters, and each character had his or her own special ability that you could use (like Blitz, Steal, Morph (anyone who remembers the FF6 story knows the reason behind that), the enemy skill inclusion, and an interesting ability called Rage that was a game in itself. Look up this game on Wikipedia for more but be advised that there are heavy spoilers on that page for anyone who has yet to play this classic). All the characters had their own unique story that was their own but at the same time had a way beyond a common enemy that made everyone be able to have something in common. It also has one of the most sinister villians in FF history (if you thought what Sephiroth' evilist deed was bad, wait until you see the huge thing that THIS baddie ended up doing). Finally, this had one of the best ways to customize your characters (equip a Magicite of an Esper. Not only will you learn the magics that the Esper can teach you, but certain Espers could give you a certain bonus stat upgrade for each level up depending on which one is equipped at a time). You could end up having every single character learn every single magic spell there is in the game. And about the Rages: There are 250 (I believe that is about how many there are) in all. Now, if you think that will keep you busy enough, imagine what they could ADD from a PS3 version. More to the story, an upgrade from the Mode 7 stuff the SNES and GBA versions used, maybe another playable character, HIGHLY upgraded graphics, and more. Plus, the story is one that has captivated many old school FF fans for years, even after the newer FF's came out. In reality, I think SE could hit the jackpot if they thought to do THIS game again (and I know they've rereleased the game a few times, but THIS could, again, be a jackpot decision).
