Status: online 		Whos voice was that in the new resistance trailer?  Was it the chimeras?  I hope not, because if so, it would seem insomniac seems to be borrowing ideas from halo.  Hopefully it was the cloven's or something.  Or a chimera using a human as a translator (like in independence day).

Status: offline 		I do recall Chimerans using some form of vocal communication in the first Resistance, it was indistinguishable garbles but it sounded like they were saying something. Besides even if it were, how is that copying Halo? I do believe there have been talking aliens for as long as sci fi has been a genre.

    They know exactly how you like it.

    Edit: The Chimaera have been on Earth for a long time as it may seen. They probably have been studying us and that's why they were so successful taking us over so quickly. They have such technology, that I'm sure learning English (not a hard feat by the way :\) was easy for them.

    Also, chances are we have never seen a chimaera, we've just seen converted humans, there's real chimaeran creatures out there.

    I think what he's referring to is the transition of the murmuring Elites in Halo 1 compared to their fluent English in Halo 2.

    Yeah if you get close to the plain hybrids they usually shout something before hitting you in the face with the Bullseye, or you can hear them in the distance if they're taking cover.

    Didn't forget, DrPirate even pointed that out, he also raised the point that we haven't seen a true Chimeran yet. I thought the Angels were different though.

    Yes but, as Skerj already said, English-speaking aliens existed far before Halo.
