As a fan of the original (it traumatized me as a kid ) I really liked the remake the only problem I had is that as mentioned it above it should have been a 2 hour pilot, also I hope to God that it wont be killed cuz of the crazy decision of airing only 4 episodes this year and having such a long wait for the next batch
 
also mentioning Flash Forward the plot is interesting but some episodes have been DEATH boring BUT now its REALLY picking up, I recommend watching it casually

Okay watched this Pilot episode,and it is just as dumbass as the original.

I didn't actually mind the show. It pokes fun at things that were taken for granted in the original series and I love how the aliens are less human in personality, yet still as manipulative and cunning as ever. I'd say the only real problem this show will face down the line is that it will be pretty obvious. Twists won't be very unexpected. But it's worth a shot if you're a Sci-Fi fan, anyway.

Oh, and FlashForward actually rocks. I'm liking it more with each episode. It's a lot like Lost, but far less convoluted.

Lol I meant abc, I always confuse the two.

I was underwhelmed by the premier. 

It felt like they crammed about 5 episodes worth of twists into 1, and did a pretty bad job of it.  There was no real suspense, and most of the actors seem like they were just phoning in their performances. 

Hopefully it picks up going forward...as it is now I can see this show only having a short run.
