I've been trying to use a USB 2.0 Memory Card with my 40GB PS3 but everytime I access it it says "there is no data".  Am I doing something wrong or does it just not work on the PS3?

Well maybe its only saying that for one folder. So when you highlight the memory card press triangle and select display all, and that should show you all the folders, and from there you should be able to see what you put on your card.

bingo bango.  You have to make some folders in your memory stick/card.  pics, video, music, it will then recognize everything, if its not in a folder named one of those, you have to hit triangle, and search for your items.

When I hit triangle the only option I receive is 'Information' which when I go to tells me the free space.

I was just able to copy and paste a saved game to the USB Device from the PS3 and it shows up when I go to the device.  However everything else is still working the same.

No, go to the USB card itself and then hit the triangle, that will give you the option to "Display All Files".

Click on the memoy card then hit triangle...i think.

It should work. Even if the files aren't compatible, it will say so.

First you have to create a folder called PS3, then you can create folders within the PS3 folder as needed. i.e. THEME, PICTURE, GAME, VIDEO, UPDATE.

Remember, they HAVE to be in all CAPS.
