If you want to install Kubuntu (kde interface / windows-like desktop), then in a terminal, type the following: sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop Dukester, are you sure you can just do "kde" instead of kubuntu-desktop? I know you can search for "kde" in synaptic, and it'll pull up kubuntu-desktop, but I don't remember if the terminal will find kubuntu-desktop and resolve the dependencies for it too. I'll try it right now to be sure. Ok "kubuntu-desktop" requires installation of about 740MB of files, while using "kde" results in 620MB of files.
