Luckily I kept a lot of the gamesaves right before I unlocked most of these emblems. So I'll use them to re-unlock them whenever MGS is patched for trophy support, which could be right after the FW hits, or a few weeks, or longer. I don't really know.

I'll have to get a few of them again, like Chicken (****it), because I don't have any save files before unlocking it. But that's ok. I have save files for most of the stupid 26 continues emblems, and for the Big Boss emblem.

    What the hell?

    That's a 1080p LCD screen you're looking at.

Look at how clear it came out, and I didn't even turn flash off, nor are my hands steady.

A tube would give you the ripple effect.

Check out how clear the text is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/Ryouga89/P6290041.jpg

I'm using full range RGB and super-white. The glare and curving is the fault of my camera (it's a good camera, but it's not meant for these kinds of shots).

This is the best I could take but, here:

BB isn't that hard, but its kinda annoying retrying some areas again and again like act 3 chase scene.

The hardest emblems were Chicken and Big Boss, neither were that hard, they both just took a while.

I'm not sure it will work like that, but if it does, then someone can easily just download a game save off the net and continue it from before that point and get that gold trophy for their account.

No, they'd have to get the emblem again. I doubt getting to the emblem screen will auto-unlock what you have, only what you got on that run.

The files are not locked so if it doesn't work this way the game can never get trophy support.

The titles that will screw me over are things like GTA, because you can't redo missions. In MGS, you can get emblems again.

MGS cannot tell the difference between a game created on that PS3 or another, but the trophy support will likely trigger the trophy award once an emblem is unlocked from that point forward. It can't really work any other way, unless they want you to delete the save data and put the disc in as if it's a new game. Which hopefully won't happen.

It's up to Konami/Kojima Pro on how they implement it, though.

Edit: MGS4 isn't even confirmed for getting a trophy patch soon at this point, so I don't know if I even care anymore. I might just wait for newer games before trophy collecting.

In any case, I'm done the game pretty much, just need the scanning plug.

Only if the gold trophy at the end required you to have the ones before it.  And no, it wont automatically give the ones to you from that gamesave, but what is stopping someone from just starting at the point before the last bit of gameplay from that gamesave, finishing it, and earning the trophy that they just unlocked?  They have to make sure that they think of that before they implement it if they want people not to cheat on the trophies.

Example:  I download a gamesave that is saved the exact moment before the ending onto my ps3 for mgs4.  I load the game from that point, complete it, and earn my emblem in the game, because its already in the data that I had no kills/alerts, etc.  So I finish it, and the gamesave unlocks the emblem (this is proven to be possible already).  Now, since the trophy system works like xbox lives achievements (i would imagine) whenever you earn that emblem in the mgs4 game (which you will) the trophy system will recognize that you have done so, and give you that gold trophy for beating the game.  Theres nothing to stop it unless sony has thought of that ahead of time, which they should have, considering the amount of time it took for fw 2.40 (and my bet would be that was the reason it was delayed).  You may not unlock all the previous trophies gamesaves, but you will unlock the very last gold one, unless they make it a linear earning system, where you have to have one trophy to get another, then people will be able to cheat and get gold trophies.

It depends not on Sony. But on Kojima. Sony does not have control over the developer in this case, the Burnout Paradise guys even said regardless of what's in the FAQ that is how they are choosing to do it.

I could get screwed over yes because MGS does not lock gamesaves, but again, it depends on how Kojima Pro implements it, if they do it at all (it is not one of the confirmed titles).

It could be any amount of time before the support is added too. I'm not going to spend time worrying about it though. If it works, great, if not, I'm not going to replay this title, I'll start with newer ones. You're right though. Essentially, people will cheat that way. But to prevent it, it means that you will need to recreate a gamesave which is LOCKED to your PSN ID, something the developers will have to implement themselves - because MGS does not have this. And that could mean deleting your current data so that nothing you have is "unlocked" (technically everything is "unlocked" since you could have transfered system data, game save data, etc.)

For this title I don't wish to start from scratch. I'll get trophies with newer games.

For me getting to the Mk.II was hard, after that its a stroll through easy street until the chase act 3 (and even then its not terribly difficult once you lay down your strategy)

    This. Same story with me.

After that it was a pattern of getting seen by random guard who was hiding in some obscure part of the map, restarting, tranquing him and moving on to the next area..........

where I'd get seen by a random guard hiding in an obscure part of the map :(
