I think no Bayonetta would have been better. I know her character fits in with the style of the game but she was just too OTT.
Nero (DMC4) - he's a sh*tty version of Dante. Should have stuck with Dante.
Killzone 2 - Generic space marine. If GG used someone with a more unique personality that could have been utilised during the writing of the script the ISA might have had a face. People only remember Radec and Visari. Swapping Shev with the chick from KZ1 would have been better. A leading female commanding soldiers in an FPS would have been a nice touch.
Not main character:
Kai Leng - One of the lamest most generic enemies ever made. Not only was his design bad but he was boring. They should have given him a personality for starters, but dressing him up in that Cerberus gear just made him look like an ordinary goon. Bioware missed a chance to create a person who you'd dread encountering throughout the game. Samara's daughter should have been brought back, given her chance to take revenge on Shepard and her mother.
On MGS2, that game was ahead of it's time. The attention to detail was amazing in that game: Snake would sneeze when he was in the cold for too long, bullets would pile up, bottles and food would smash when shot, you could see yourself in the mirror, wet footsteps would go from outside to in, snake would tip toe over bodies, guns were detailed, etc.
