0-10 s it's much easier to parse the score for great games.

I also prefer the 100 point system, but isn't it kind of splitting hairs with the 10 point system? Because if you allow for more than the .5 and allow scores like 8.2 = 82 or 9.4 = 94. So really either using the 10 point system in increments of .1 or using the 100 point system is best as it allows for the most precise judging IMO.

1-10 with decimal places to every even number, ex: 6.2, 6.4, 6.8, 7.0

Buy it if you like X, Rent it if your ok with the genre, Skip it if you don't care at all for this type of game.

A Madden game getting rated 10 = 0 for me anyways because I don't care about football games.

The 1–5 system with half marks is fairly common. It would be on par with movie rating system.

1-5 if you have to have points to understand what rating a game got then your just being a ratings whore.

1 is a very bad game never buy it
2 is a bad game with some charm
3 is a fair game not going to set the world on fire but not unplayable
4 is a game that is really good it just dosn't have "IT"
5 is a game that is not perfect because there is not perfect game. But it is a very good game that has "IT"

I really like how IGN does their reviews.
I hate text only reviews! I like to see some kind of final score. I find myself reading text reviews and after its all over I still dont know if it is a good game or an amazing game. It's nice to be able to compare final scores with other games.

1-5 ( none of those .5 system crap)
I think the 1-5 is the best grade system because it doesn't cause any of fanboy crap 'oh our exclusive is .1 decimal better dan yors!' you know....those things
a simple means of telling a person Buy this game or Dont buy this game...
5- meaning Great game, can't miss it for the world definately a buy
4- tid bits of flaws but will be over looked by the sea of awesomeness it brings
3- Good game all in all
2- Sub par, unless you LOVE the series and your a huge fan
1- Might cause suicide and loss of eyesight and other senses
