I keep getting an error that starts with 800 but had different numbers after them. It is not a huge deal but so far only thing that has happened to me is that I keep getting signed off PSN during Demo Installations, Browsing PSN Store, and when I search for Music and Video Media servers the error occurs almost immediately 100% of the time. I reset all of my settings numerous times and the error still hasn't gone away. I used to have XBL on this same connection and it was perfect. My Internet signal is at 100%. I am no fanboy. I love my PS3. I recently coverted from an XBOT after getting 3 RROD since this past Christmas. What do i have?

You have the 800638639689236981635 of death!

Not much is known about this problem and supposedly Sony never knew about this up until recently.

You do not have anything and you never will have anything. The error is non-existent and was started by the jealous xbots.

This never happened.

My blueray movies still work. I can play games online but it kicks me off once in a while. Even after resetting everything my firmware update stayed the same. Thats where the error seems to be i believe or atleast thats what i have been reading. A corrupted file in the installation of the recent firmware. Damn u sony, why cant u let us uninstall firmwares. Damn uuuuu

That pretty much summed it up.

Anyways just because you got an error code that began with 800 doesnt mean your going to have any problems since most of them do start with 800. I wouldnt worry about anything. This 80010514 thing will brush over just as fast the the blinking problem did. Mostly because its not a widespread issue

A firmware update might fix it up I guess. (Although that error code has never happened to me before)

But its annoying. I dont want to get an error everytime i dl a demo or go online to play MGO!!!! None of my friends or cousins PS3's ever do it. Then why me? My PS3 is barely a week old. Poor baby.

This happens to my friend sometimes. Hopefully a new firmware update will erase the problem.

I think that when you touch your PS3, it senses the 'Xbot' germs from your hands, and BAM!!

I only get that error when:

I turn on my PS3, auto log in, get logged out.
I quit a game, get logged out
I'm in a chat room for too long, get logget out.
I'm installing a patch, forced to quit game, get logged out.

And some VERY RARE times I've gotten logged out is when I'm playing warhawk or cod4. But That hasn't happened in a while.

I get that whenever I'm playing a game sometimes. I would assume that your connection goes down sometimes and that's why it happens? But it's not an epidemic or something. Hopefully the next update fixes that problem.

Without knowing the exact error code it is difficult to diagnose problems.

Every so often when I'm playing a game I get an 800..something error message because my wireless router has dropped out. The error codes aren't always the fault of the PS3.

try checking your connection and the ports through your router's settings.
looks like it's a problem with your connnection since the problems are connection i ssues
