ORIGINAL: BrotherNick Lol, good one with the pictures. I try, I try. The sad thing is though is that as "hardcore" gamers feel more threatened they will become more vocal. While all the time they will get less and less important in the industry. This E3 should have shown that. Expect more and more youtube videos like this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k-uTnqYHZ-I Expect more and more petitions to companies like Bliazzard to make their games more "hardcore" too. Its like people forgot how these companies became popular in the first place, thats right by not being hardcore. People who say Diablo was "mature" make me laugh my ass off. Edit: Mk_Red you are seeing a shift. Soon the "hardcore" will be all but forgotten. You'll call me crazy now. But two years ago nobody believed me when I said MS would fight for the "casual" market. quote:
ORIGINAL: Maddens Raiders The amount of hours I have logged playing WarHawk. That's hardcore, but nothing compared to the years I have logged playing Ace Combat(s) and Gran Turismo 1~4. I hate the "tooting" of one's own horn, but I might actually be part of the code in those games. quote:
it is a term used by narcissists to pony up there already enflated egos. As you can see hardcore gamers think they have some effect on the industry and how it is played out. The like to think they are important. It's no different then someone who reads books and goes around telling someone what books to read. If someone reads a book they don't like even though they told them not to their egos feel threatened. They learn they are not who the industry revolves around. This is a cripling blow to their sense of self importance. In fact I would be suprised if Madden Raiders does not yell at me and call me some sort of fanboy for these remarks. They feel threatened. Watch. Laugh. Ignore it you can still play the games you want.
