Status: offline 		I see a great big market in the gaming industry opening up after MGS4 and SC Conviction hit stores.

These have been killer series regardless which one is better I dont even wanna get into that argument. I think both are great and both have sold quite alot of copies. Its a niche genre but with a new developer with Ideas that arent bogged down in the Universe of Metal Gear or the realism/story of a Tom Clancy game.

But I think we need a new developer to come into the stealth genre. I mean Kojima is great but I would like him to something different. I mean if people didnt love MGS so much he wouldnt be making number 4. And Ubisoft knows they are going to make money after every Splinter Cell game.

Im not counting Assassins Creed as a stealth game.

What would you like to see in a stealth game that isnt in the world of Metal Gear or Splinter Cell?

Oh and BTW Snake and Sam are getting old. We need a new leading man (or woman?) in the genre anyway.


I wanna ask though if anyone is familiar with game development, how hard is it to make a stealth game? I mean the AI is probably pretty hard to deal with. Its much more complex than any shooters out there.

Status: offline 		The last Thief, Deadly Shadows, came out for consoles as well (and it was awesome).  There was a rumor a while back in OXM that Bethesda (at least I'm almost sure it was them) wanted to get their hands on the game for a 4th installment.

Status: offline 		Am I the only one who thinks SC Conviction is gonna suck?

I think the series is going downhill after Chaos Theory. That one was my favorite, most definitely.

On second thought, I never actually finished the single player of Pandora Tomorrow. Was that one any good? I only really played the great Spies vs. Mercs multiplayer from that game.

Status: offline 		@ DarkSniper....Yeah.....Syphon Filter was one game I played the CRAP out of, back on PSOne...

My dad and I couldn't get enough of that game.

I would definitely say it's time for another one.

Also, it really blew major donkey balls that the full cities weren't fully explorable right from the beginning. That really chapped my hide. So what if that area is part of a different "memory"...you can't use a stupid blue forcefield as an excuse to keep me from exploring the rest of Jerusalem, dammit!

a new Hitman IS in production- look it up on Gamespot

it's listed as PS3 exclusive, but I very much doubt it will stay that way for too long

Status: online 		I don't think either of them are that great in terms of stealth. MGS is no longer the best in stealth and while MGS4 is a superb game, I don't think it's stealth aspects are that great. SC Conviction... to me it looks abysmal but who knows...

Thief is indeed the best. Dark Project RULES!

But for the future of stealth games, unless new Theif comes out, the only other game I can think of is Saboteur.

Dude, Saboteur is not a 360 exclusive. The game that is exclusive is Sabotage which has changed it's name to Velvet Assassin.
