I doubt this is possible without completly changing the OS - something I dont think sony would do seeing as devs are already complaining that the current OS takes up too much of the systems RAM

True, the memory constraints are a big problem for the OS, it does limit the features.

they probally gonna do a minor update to make the ingame xmb run more smooth game invites probally wont come until next year.but in game chat i see probally around r2.

I agree; some rumors from magazines (so they're not too far fetched to believe in) said it was supposed to be announced or shown at E3. I don't think it's too far off.
