I was just wondering. Do you have to accumulate a certain amount of points before your approval value gets higher?

It is a combination of bubbles and CRank. 8 bubbles=2 approval points, or a Crank of 10 or higher (if memory serves). The 3 points for a CRank of 15, and 4 for 20+.
