Where's the news on Dissidia? - Jul.-20th-2008 23:35:32

For those of you who don't know, Dissidia is an in-the-works fighting game, based around the Final Fantasy universe. Two eternal bodies apparently decide to work out the ultimate question of which is better: Good or Evil. Or some crap like that. I haven't really been able to work it out, what with the trailers being in Japanese.

But anyway! Ten protagonists and ten antagonists go head to head in Final Fantasy's version of Tekken. It's already been shown in the various trailers that you have access to their Limit Breaks, and you can take fights off the ground for aerial battles... So the game basically looks awesome. And it's on the PSP.

Watch and be amazed... Oh, and tell me why the heck I haven't seen about this before tonight. Where are the eagle eyes of the N4G?

I know it was supposed to be released later this year as one of the 20th anniversary games. But I think only in Japan will get it this year, and it should be everywhere else later.

Yeah, I'm getting the same impression myself. Not that it matters, 'cause importing isn't a problem. Even if I can't ship the game directly from a supplier to me, I'll get it shipped to a friend in Japan and give them the money to bag it and send it... So the whole Sony thing about not exporting games doesn't really work.

I guess I was just shocked that someone like me would, or even could, miss out entirely on a brand new FF game. I'm even more shocked that I haven't even seen any information about this game on N4G until this thread.

It's a conspiracy, I tells ya!
