I wanted to get the 360 version only because my cheapo friends have a xbox360 and i can play online with them buttttttt, two nights ago i was playing madden 08 online and after i played two games i popped call of duty 4 in it kept freezing at the online menus im thinking because it got real hot and became unstable, i let it cool down for about 30-45 minutes i booted cod4 up and it worked, i dont wanna go through this kinda crap especially the red rings of death when i go through gta4 but when its time to get online with the friends i wont be able to, which one do you guys think i should go with the ps3 version no worries about breakin down or the 360 version with worries but online with friends play, but keep in mind gta4 is a long single player go to.

well if you want to play with your friends probably the 360 version is the way to go, plus DLC is an option

however its still a matter of personal preference so its up to you

Well if you are afraid of RROD then get it for PS3. If you want to play it online with your buddies who only have the 360 get it for the Xbox

Get the ps3 worrie free game DLC mean nothing unless Online features

honestly i think the ps3 version will feel better, the only option the 3 shitty got going for it is my friends what im asking is do you tihnk gta4 online will be that serious where i would need to play with my friends or the single player will be long and good enough

well online is better with friends rather than random people but rrod will stop you playing online completely. So its either playing with friends but then possibly unable to play at all or not playing with friends but always playing.

Yup. In fact the opinions of people on the forums really means nothing. If he wants it for ps3 and everyone says 360 he will just filter thru all that for the one comment that says get it for ps3.

Oh how about just not getting it? That'll damn the man right? Think about it when GTAIII first came out it was a big f u to the system now that GTA is a big money maker it has become the man

no thats not true i called it the 3 shitty cause its always messin up, im still undecided dlc dont mean jack to me i never finished a gta game anyways, if i get it for 360 and all my friends go back to cod4 or something else cause they dont like the online of gta imma feel like a big ass sorry folks but you know rrod can strike at any time

360 is your best bet unless you feel that your Xbox is near RROD

I own all of the GTA games from Playstation 1 to Playstation 2. Naturally, I'm picking this up on PS3 due to console reliability and controller familiarization.
