SO the day is here... NG2 has been released among the populous of the US and in 3 more days Europe and the rest of the world...
So who has it now or is picking it up shortly?
Who has already played it and what kind of feelings did you get from it?

I am just about to pop in my copy here shortly and give it a little run through and see for myself!

If I can afford it, I'll pick it up. I beat Master Ninja 13 times in the original game, so this shouldn't be a problem for me.

I think i'll rent it first to try it out. If I like it I will definatly go pick it up. My 360 is getting neglected by me right now LOL.

Got it and OMG, it's awesome. Every bit as satisfying as I expected. The only problem is that the gore and blood become almost invisible during ultra fast battles. Seriously, when the first cut-scene of the game with Sonya being captured ends, even the first battle was fast and I hardly noticed my beloved blood and gore. Only during performing finishers on wounded enemies I could watch the bloody carnage. Rest of the time, I'm just dogding and guarding and doing what I can to defend myself.

Strange thing is that the game felt insanely smooth and frame-rate seemed more like 60 though I'm not exactly sure. Still, I didn't encounter any slow-down as far as I got. (Only played one chapter so far).

Aside from camera issues which are sometimes really annoying, the only other problem is that the lighting engine and overall look hasn't improved much since NG Black. The enemies look insanely detailed and blood and gore effects rock but I still feel like playing an enchanted Xbox 1 game. Don't know. Maybe Black was too good looking.
The story seemed bad though with no intro before the game and only a mediocre cut-scene at first. Sonya's boobs are the only good part about cut-senes so far. The music is epic and nice. Plus, there is option for Japanese audio which was a hundred times better, specially in case of Sonya

Overall, I really liked it. 9 out of 10 for me.

EDIT: Change 8.5-9 to 9. The game is indeed flawed but is insanely fun.

I was really hyped for that game when it got announced because it seemed exactly like the type of game I love (i.e. DMC, Onimusha, even Chaos Legion) so I rented Sigma to play on my bro's PS3 and I absolutely hated it. I didn't find the difficulty to be anything special contrary to everything I had heard, the Wired review titled "Ninja Gaiden II Gets Combat Right, Everything Else Wrong" is exactly how I felt about the first NG.

I gonna wait to play the demo but from the reviews I've read and my experience with the prequel I highly doubt that I'll be getting that game.

I'm unsure if I get an X360 just for this game. I love NG1

1 Problem is, wasting money on a whole console for only 1 game is a bad idea (I got a gaming capable PC)
2 Where I live X360s cost 470-510 EUR for a Premuim. I play.com or normal sites I use do not export Hardware to Malta. E-Bay is out of question due to Garantuee
3 Where I live there is no XBL.

I go to my friend to try it out. He had it for some time (Rapidshare FTW O_o)

No XBL is definitly hurting as well as high prices. But to get or not to get a console because of one game simply depends on the game. I for one, got my 360 simply because I HAD to have Dead Rising. I just worship that game. Aside from that, BioShock and Mass Effect were the only 360 exclusives that I really cared about and both are available for PC.

If it's only for one game and you already have a capable PC, then 360's exclusive are all coming to PC except for NG2. Fable 2, Alan Wake, Halo Wars and others are definitly coming to PC.
So everything depends on your love for NG2. How much do you care about it? If it's one of your all time fave franchises then I'd say buy the 360. If Fallout or Mortal Kombat had gone exclusive, I would have bought a console simply because of them (Hey, I bought my PSP simply because of PSP's MK: Unchained though the game sucked and was cheap rehash of Deception, still, I loved PSP's Lumines and LocoRoco).

PS3 and Wii are unique consoles and their exclusives are for no other system but 360 and PC are almost identical in terms of exclusives (Though it makes sense since both are mainly MS platforms).

I'm sure I'll be having a grand ole time hackin limbs off plus I probably won't get mad at all the little things the reviewers are all about seeing that I don't try to find the bad in a game

(least not more of the time)

Getting mine on the 6th of June from play.com and I played the demo yesteday damn good actually and Im loving the gore.

OMFG Prices in Malta are reduclious.

I bought a DS3 here for 65 EUR (I didn't know about play-asia :( )
Games here cost 70 EUR Each

X360 Permuim costs 450 Eur MIN when in england costs 256 EUR
