I am i think it's a great idea (if the server is like the old game) I think they will try and made you use it by putting trophies in online co-op.

Who thinks this is a good idea and the way forward or is this just useless

They'll most likely add some exclusive trophies for that mode alone, just to add more replay value to the game for those trophy whores. If they do it well, I think it might be pretty cool.

I probably will use it only because of the screen i will have the whole thing. But i will probably just play with friends in the co-op

...is this the one with 8 player co op?

I do think that is a little useless. It's a rarity to have 8 friends online playing the same game, and this is assuming everyone is at the exact same point in the game when you decide to do co-op. Also, most PS3 owners I've met have very small friends list's, adding further difficulty to the first point.

But I do like the fact that some developers are aiming for at least 4 player co-op that Halo 3 did oh so well. Even though Gears of War isn't really built for having 4 people playing at the same time, Halo 3 has made 4 player co-op standard and I was very disappointed when I found out Gears of War 2 isn't changing it's co-op and sticking with 2. Hell even COD5 improved in co-op.

If implemented well t could add a whole new layer to the gameplay. I hope they do well in implementing it.
