Status: offline 		I was thinking while me and a couple others give information in facts contrary to what they believe about the wii (or Nintendo for that matter, I thought to make a factoid finding anything about the wii that is misleading and have the facts all in this thread.  Now I will be editing this post to accommodate any new misunderstandings about the wii.

GC is weaker than PS2= False

GC clocks at 485mhz: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamecube
PS2 clocks at 294mhz http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_2

Wii is not this gen=False

Also may want to note that the Wii and PS3 came out around the same time, and a year after the 360.

Wii has low attach rate=False (Thanks PS360WII)

Wii has no third party million sellers=False (iffy because of the site)

I figured to keep the wii fans in check, we'll put some stuff on the other side of the fence so they don't get too biased.

Wii was first to use motion sensing=False (Thanks Maddens Raiders)

The Atari Le Stick came out in the 1980s and used mercury switches to use motion sensing as an input.

Status: online 		Well one is them saying it is not part of this current gen when it was released along side the 360 and PS3.  It has better graphics and processor then the GC had so it is an upgrade.

No one buys any games other than the one game it comes with, but Nintendo has released it's global attach rate which shows it's at 6.07

Status: online 		I don't know about any facts...but I have definitely "bashed" the Wii, and with very good reason
  • Controller -
    The controller seems to be a bit of a joke to me
  • Online -
    For the year I've been on N4G I never knew the Wii even had online until I picked one up myself...which has never been used
  • Games -
    In association with the controller, the games disappoint me. Even the big ones like SSBB brought nothing new.


Before I had a Wii my only impression of it was the attitude N4G members had towards it. Being a minority on this site, I knew people exaggerate quite a bit on this site, so I went in with an open mind. Personally, I find most Wii bashing is fully warrented and I do not consider it to be in the same league as the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.

Again, these reasons are not facts and I have no links to back up my opinion.

Status: online 		this is useless why care if someone bashes a system counter bashes protects a system against bashing its just a game system it has no feelings i guess i just don't get the whole system wars anything i say will be ignored and people will continue with their stupid arguements and console bashing because their just stupid.

Besides, most of my gripes aren't with the Wii, it's Nintendo.

I know, Farsendor. I suppose it's just human nature that people just get too caught up in silly things. Like, wars based on the government's oil craving, for lack of a better example.

Depending on how viable you view VGChartz to be, this is the info posted on that site for the Wii (11 out of 25 are 3rd-party titles):

Status: online 		You know I'm still suprised with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.  Sega said they'll sell 4 million and they go and sell 4 million.  I'll admit I got it and it's actually pretty decent but still 4 million... good call on there end I didn't think it would get past a million personally but I guess we can't forget the power of Mario and Sonic.... well and the olympics... hmm and the Wii

( i say its personal preference, but saying smashbros having nothing new? yet its okai for you to play  other games with the same Controller setup thats been used for the past 10 years. Also PS3 and 360 games dont do allot of new stuff. Old concepts new jacket.)
