I find it funny that I'am looking foward to more Wiiware games than Wii games this year i looked at gameinformer mag and there are alot of wiiware games i want to download for it. Its just why are companies doing a better job for Wiiware than an actually Wii game

Though i will picking up MK tales of symphonia2 starwars and some others and have over 15 wii games
LOZ
SMG
MP3
SSBB
Bwii
NMH

I must agree with you here, if it weren't for Wiiware I'd still be on the fence about whether or not I'll be picking up a Wii. It currently has about 3 games I actually want on it so I found that pretty negligible compared to how much I'd use it, but their Wiiware initiative has ramped up the value for me. Eternity's Child, Lost Winds, De Blob, Star Soldier R, and World of Goo will all be purchased by me.

Its just too bad that after 2 or 3 downloded games, all of your memory is used up.

The limit is 43 mb, and the wii's memory is 512...so I think it can handle about 8 games :) well 4-5 depending on how many saves and vc games you have.

Plus as Nintendo puts it they are yours forever so if you want something else all you need to do is just delete it to make room...

But yeah WiiWare certainly looks very promising.  Lots o games coming out at the retail and online

wiiware doesn't seem like cash-ins though.  Which is nice.

I think a lot of it is timing. It's taking a while for most devs to get their minds around what the wii does well and the creative opportunities posed by it.

Wiiware brings the added advantage of a small/shorter/less intensive format. Developers can invest a smaller amount of time and/or focus harder on interface and art direction.

But the biggest reason for improved Wiiware quality is that a lot of small/indie devs can jump on and compete directly with the biggest companies. They don't have to fight their way into Brick and Mortar (Gamestop, BestBuy) stores. They don't have to advertise. It's all there for any Wii owner who's interested.

So, in short, Wiiware's a much more flexible, faster, cheaper platform for development.

The good thing is that the exposure of these games and their ideas will inspire other companies, big or small. Wiiware may be where the wii really takes off. Think about it. A fifteen dollar price tag puts games on the same level as a cd/dvd. Parents might buy these games in huge numbers.... I certainly will be grabbing several.

yeah definatly good points Kholinar.  No fighting for shelf space   That's a hugh battle.  I remember when Zack & Wiki came out that only got 1 spot on the bottom shelf at the store I usually go to  and that's from Capcom!

Exactly, playable demos could make all the difference with a game like Zack&Wiki. I hope that will be the case.

At least until you get rid of your system or it breaks.  Seriously Nintendo needs to create some sort of way to let gamers who purchased content retrieve it if they have to get rid of or their system breaks.  I had 20 virtual console titles on my old Wii and now I have zero because of no way to get them back.

Hmm well you can link your Wii up to your Nintendo profile.  It shows all games I bought through there.  I'm sure if I the one I had blew up and I bought a new one I could link it up to my profile and get those games back

Huh? When my bro's Wii broke and he got a new one I remember they fixed it so that all the stuff he had bought was attached to the new console. I don't remember how but I know they took care of it.

Edit: Now I remember how it was. He got Wii points to buy new ones instead. And that is imo even better.
