Status: online 		I doubt it. GTA4 is multiplatform and has more main stream appeal. That being said, i fully expect MGS4 to be game of the yr

Status: offline 		There's no doubt that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be the better game by far, but GTA4 is not only in the public eye a lot more, and is a multiplatform game.

Status: offline 		GTA4 will outsell MGS4 easily due to GTA4 being on both X360 and PS3, whereas MGS4 is only PS3.

Which will be game of the year??? I think it will be mixed between reviewers.

I'm guessing GTA4 will have a longer life-span than MGS4 in Single Player, and reviews love that kind of thing, but MGS4 will be very cinematic in it's design and graphically better than MGS4 which reviewers like as well (just look at Bioshock last year winning most awards!!).

I'm putting my money of MGS4 getting Game of the Year for PS3, but GTA4 for overall Game of the Year, unless something pops up between now and then that can take GTA4 on, which at the moment, I don't see happening, and I'm not even a GTA4 fan!!

Status: online 		Reviewers love the kind of game that when you are done playing you feel like you have had a life changing experience. That is what i expect out of MGS. Judging from the previews written by those who have played it, i would say it has a pretty good shot.

Status: online 		MGS is not as popular as the GT series. The game is multiplatform and even though MGS4 turns out to be the greatest game ever made there are still some people out there who are allergic to ps3's so they will patiently wait for a 360 version. Also a lot of people consider MGS the only game worth owning a playstation for. Sony needs to show off even more games to dispell this. Gamers day will be an excellent opportunity since it is just a month from mgs release

Status: offline 		Will MGS4 out sell GTA4? No, multi-platform games have the lead, but MGS4 will undoubtly win Game of the Year, and GTA4 will get multi-platform game of the year (obviously).

The hype for 4 has made it far more known than it ever has been, so this really isn't true anymore.

This will be one of the best selling PS3 games, but there is no way it can outsell a game that is bound to be one of the best selling games in general, not to mention multiconsole.

Also, MGS2 sold just under the GTA/GT games in the past, so this will likely repeat, but you can hardly call it just a niche title. No FF title on PS2 outsold it either.

Status: offline 		Well to be fair, FF titles beat out MGS3, which so far has been the lowest selling MG title (excluding the MSX ones and Portable Ops).

MGS fan base in not as high as GTA's now days, specially going to the 360 it makes it easier for sale records....

but in quality MGS takes the crown....


didnt HALO3 sold more then COD4? well u dont see Halo in the #1 spot do u?
