I recently played MGS4, and the gameplay is as basic as could get for me, plus i get to see huge ammounts of cut-scenes every few steps

Same for FF13, they shoot for cinematic combat style, and the usual huge cut-scenes/FMV with the classic basic gameplay, semi turn based this time, but nothing really brand new at core

While games like Star Ocean 4 and Infinite Undisocvery go the way of real time combat and more interactive worlds, same for Fable 2 which tries things never been done before in RPG's

Another case is God of War and Ninja Gaiden, NG2 is all about the stunning gameplay, GOW has the very basic simplistic gameplay for years now, but focuses on the epic amazing setting and creatures

So, who agrees that the major 360 titles are all about gameplay and PS3 all about cinematic experiences with minimal gameplay innovation and features ?

You haven't even seen the gameplay for FFXIII and you're already mentioning it in your stupid threads? You're the biggest fanboy in the world, labwarrior. Go back to Gametrailers and stay there.

OMG PLEASE. PLEASE go back to Gametrailers and when you're there, stay in the Xbox 360, Fable 2 thread. You are one of the most annoying fanboys EVER. EVER.

Gametrailers + Labwarrior + Fable 2 thread only = Normal people stay happy

And no, I don't agree with you whatsoever.

Waiting for Bioshock to hit to the PS3 to see what the fuss is about.

BioShock has no cut scenes though, you never lose control of the character, you almost walk though and past the cut scenes, like in Half LIfe2.

I kind of agree with the initial statement (only becausei bought MGS4 and heavenly sword) but you are basing it on two or three games, there are always exceptions to the rule. Uncharted was pretty good.

I was actually talking about the big games for each console, not every game

Of course PS3 has many games that are about gameplay, but its biggest like MGS4, FF13, GOW3 are way too cinematic based, and imo neglect amazing gameplay a lot

I'm intriqued to find out where you get your information.

Do we even know enough about FF13 and GOW3 to have an opinion about them? Or are you basing your opinion on previous games?

I do agree to a certain extent with what you're saying though.

GOW is 80% gameplay and 20% cutscenes.
Final Fantasy is 70% gameplay and 30% cutscenes. Nowhere close to the point where it "neglect" gameplay imo.

For FF13 there is info, that they want a totally cinematic experience in combat, so that is confirmed, and as always FF13 will be full of videos/cut-scenes, and i doubt i am wrong in that

As for GOW, again i am talking as a series, probably will be a lot like GOW, given GOW 2 was a lot like GOW1, and i doubt will change style radically to something like ninja Gaiden 2 for example

As for MGS4, i have played it, it felt more based on cut-scenes than any game i have played in my life this one

yh but the 'cinematic experience' of MGS4 has produced one of the best games of all time, in many peoples opinions.

In combat not cutscenes. Combat means gameplay. If you've played any of the previous Final Fantasy games then you would know for a fact that it is not full of videos/cutscenes. You are pulling information out of your ass.

I know that, i was talking about the quality of that gameplay, in all of FF, MGS3 and GOW imo it is absolutly basic and mediocre stuff comparing to other games in their genres like Fallout, Fable, Splinter Cell, Ninja Gaiden 2 etc
