I have a surprisingly similar story to hectickris. I'd pre-ordered an Xbox 360 in the UK and in the upcoming months I was looking for news sites about it. I think I literally typed in "Xbox 360 news" in Google and ended up (with the rather appropriately titled) xbox360news.com website. I used to check it all the time until I realised that the stories they had were from the news4gamers.com site and then started using that and then went over to n4g.com when they first announced it and haven't looked back! In all fairness when I look at the xbox360news.com website, it really is a load of crap! They've just got their stories from N4G, it might as well be an RSS feed and the rest of the page is full of adverts, "affiliate" sites and is pretty poorly laid out. Don't know how I managed to use that site for so long; obviously the N4G content helped! After I got my 360 I thought I wouldn't need to check back for news that often but it looks like I was wrong. It was far more interesting finding out about the other consoles and tech news as well and that spurred me to buy a Wii and PS3 in the end!
