The point of this thread is for you to tell your story on how you discovered N4G and how important is the site in regards for gaming news. Also, tell us how you your enjoying the forums. Are you meeting new people to play with and are you enjoying it from a communtity aspect.

Please note that this is a friendly topic and is not open to site suggestions and crazy rants on what works and what doesnt. Thanks!

I got hooked last year when it was just called News4Gamers. It might have been through a forum or google, but I remember reading the comments in the midst of a flamewar and LMAO, so I joined!

I found N4G through ign i cant remember how but it was through ign. ive was deciding on either getting a Ps3 or a Xbox 360 so i watched the debates here for a while then i decided i wanna jump in on this so then i signed up and here i am. N4G with the exceptions of some people Is Pretty Damn Bomb

About a year ago I found this little gem using StumbleUpon (my favorite firefox plugin). I have been coming back almost everyday ever since, and the forums are just icing on the cake.

i found this site when it was called xbox360 news and roumours before the 360 was even out and its gotten better and better since iv bin cheking back basicly everyday great website i enjoy it

I have a surprisingly similar story to hectickris. I'd pre-ordered an Xbox 360 in the UK and in the upcoming months I was looking for news sites about it. I think I literally typed in "Xbox 360 news" in Google and ended up (with the rather appropriately titled) xbox360news.com website.

I used to check it all the time until I realised that the stories they had were from the news4gamers.com site and then started using that and then went over to n4g.com when they first announced it and haven't looked back!

In all fairness when I look at the xbox360news.com website, it really is a load of crap! They've just got their stories from N4G, it might as well be an RSS feed and the rest of the page is full of adverts, "affiliate" sites and is pretty poorly laid out. Don't know how I managed to use that site for so long; obviously the N4G content helped!

After I got my 360 I thought I wouldn't need to check back for news that often but it looks like I was wrong. It was far more interesting finding out about the other consoles and tech news as well and that spurred me to buy a Wii and PS3 in the end!

I found this site searching on google for news about Soul Calibur IV

I registered because somebody put up a story that was just filled with lies and BS and I was so bothered that this site was allowing it to be put up as actual "news" that I felt compelled to complain about it.

I looked on the site when the huge warhawk problem was going on in september, i asked my friend wtf is going on with this game and he told me look at N4G a whole bunch of of people are having the same problem, and a month later i joined.

I accidently found this site when the big WOO WOO was being made about the secret 360 which was actually just the elite, then I thought you guys had some amazing computer program that found all the news cause like I would stop looking at this site at like 2 am and by 7 there was a whole new list of news

You mean from the time before time? I can't really remember. The only thing I do remember is my avy which was Noob Saibot for the first week.
