here's the deal, I'm a big time minnesota vikings fan, and i've always hated brett favre. now, i need to know, does anyone think that the madden curse which seems to obliterate the players the following year can somehow adversely affect brett favre?

Maybe thats why he retiring...he doesnt wanna tear his acl because of the Madden Curse...IT MAKES SENSE!

You get the Madden cover, retire for a year...and you'll be safe! Only if Shaun Alexander new of this trick...

You can tell Bret's experienced... if he found a way to get around the curse.

The person you know as John Madden is actually a Gaelic Luck Demon, he endows the players on his covers with temporary fame and fortune and then afflicts them with some ailment the following year to repay the debt and to keep himself alive from the luck energy they exude. This is why he is still alive and will never die, unless you find his lair and place a doll made out of sandalwood and smeared with the eggs of a rare ant that can only be found for 2 days every 5 years in a small province in China. Gee I thought everyone knew this by now.
