So, I'm finally going to pick up a Wii today, I've been trying to convience my fiance to let me get it for a long time now and she finally caved. Gotta give my ps3 a rest. I know Wii sports comes with it but I don't think i want to play much of that so I was wondering, Mario Galaxy or Mario Cart??? help me decide guys.......before she changes her mind. lol

i owned a wii for wii bit. SMG is a very fun game...however i dont believe it lived up to all the hype. MP:3 was very fun with the new controls to a FPS on a console. as for SMK:Wii i cant comment.

Tough call. Both are great games. However, if your fiancee plays games as well, you will both be able to play Mario Kart together whereas Mario Galaxy is a single-player game.

Mariokart I bet has more longevity, most single player games I'll rent.

Well seeing two player action is what you're going for Mario Kart would do that. You can always pick up SMB another time

it was tough, but I went for mario galaxy, i must say, I'm happy thus far, the Wii really is an interesting little guy, great for a secondary console.

Since we now know you like the first party games on the wii...try yourself some Metroid Prime 3...I bet you may like shooters too on the wii, not many but quite fun.

I think that you should go with Galaxy. I bought the game last year and I love it a lot; one of the Wii's best. MK is alright but I seem to enjoy DD on the cube a little better so far.
