I havent heard it, maybe because I am more annoyed of having through play as Drake, couldnt we get some new costumes for the SP

obviously he wasn't laughing because the girl he loves got hurt. is that so hard for you to understand? your complaints about the game don't make any sense. don't go hating on Nathan just 'cause you don't have a sense of humor.

Should all protagonists be the stoic space marine type?  Drake has personality!

agree with jim,personality is a plus in any game even if i don't find some of the stuff he says funny.

All of the characters have personality in this game and as opposed to the stereotypic Mr. Generic-bald-space-marine-in-a-power-armour (number two-thousand-and-****ing-seven!) that's supposed to be part of the charm of the series.

Personally, I much preferred Flynn - thought they gave him a nice morally gray side. And you're not the first one to dislike the sarcastic lighthearted tone of the game (albeit it is a trademark for UC) - so fret not :).

Personally, I found the tone rather refreshing, as opposed to the blank-slate idiots from the likes of Gears and Killzone...

But to each his own, yeah?

 I think the problem is that some gamers really like to put themselves in the role of a tough, no nonsense, emotionless blank slate.   Drake's an everyman, he's overmatched in just about every situation, and it seems to me like he uses his sense of humor as a defense mechanism.   Take when the elevator falls in Nepal, and he laughs and says "we were almost in that!"  it's not laughing in a "this is funny" way, it's laughing as a "wow this is really emotional and I don't quite know how to handle it."   I narrowly avoided a major wreck on the freeway a few days ago.  My reaction?  I laughed... couldn't help it, I just needed to release the emotion.  It's human, and that's what they're going for with Drake.

As for Flynn, he got annoying, I thought. Drake's got a morally gray side too, obviously, he's out to find all this stuff in order to make money, and he travels in some shady circles.  Hopefully in Uncharted 3, or even in the motion comic, we'll see some of Drake's seedier side.
