Yeah thats true but whats the point of keeping him in there if they already won the game by the half and were up 40+ points??? Why risk him getting hurt again. Sure it would have  been funny to see the pats win by 70+ points but that would just be overkill lol. I was happy he was taken out considering I played someone yesterday in FF who had Brady AND Moss(yeah i got demolished)

Honestly because I feel Brady needed this, Him and the offense have been out of sync for weeks. The machine was firing on all cylinders and was essentially practice at that point. I understand why they did it and I wasn't shocked by it, but when a defense gives up 6 straight TD's I think you keep him in until the defense shows that they care...This isn't kids playing football, these are grown men getting payed millions to do their job. I say blow them out and score a ton at least until the last 5-10 minutes.

I'm sure that if Brady had been hurt in the fourth quarter with an 83 point, you would be bashing the team for keeping him in.  I'm a Pats fan, and I don't want to see the starting quarterback in the game when you are ahead by more than forty points in the second half.

I honestly wouldn't...I don't want to see him play the whole game out and it wouldn't matter how many more he scored as long as he stays in and keeps the offense clicking till the 4th quarter at least.

I know it sounds like I just wanted them to run it up, but it wasn't about that. It was about a game situation while the offense was clicking to figure a few things out...Even if it was the running game.

Pull him in the start of the 4th...That's fine. We didn't sit our other starters or change our defense. So why did Brady come out after the first drive of the 3rd quarter? Other than a show of mercy to the Titans.

This is why i hate the patriots. They run up scores and do crap like that cus they don't care. 8TD's in a game still won't give them superbowl. They were playing a crap team in the worst conditions. If you think things will click for the team all of a sudden cus they went to town on a "not even trying" Tennessee Titans.

Can't wait till they play colts in a dome where weather will have no effect and i hope dwight freeney and Mathis sack the crap out of Brady

Quick thoughts from this weekend:

Qwest Field in Seattle...very nice.  I got to experience the 12th Man up close and personal....for a quarter, then it got silent after that beatdown handed in by Arizona haha.

Saints are that good.  So are the Vikings.

Pats were playing the Titans.  With both CB's injured while the rest of them were playing atrocious defense.  Don't get too excited, Pats fans.

Redskins suck.

WTF Eagles.

Looking at the rest of their schedule, the Colts have a strong chance to go undefeated.

Bengals lost their best DE.  More bad news for this hard-luck city.

Don't write off the Giants.  Write off the Jets instead.  Talk about a flash in a pan.

Who do I like tonight:  San Diego 27 Denver 17.  I see it coming down to whoever is more hungry, and all signs point to SD on this one.

I don't know how running up the score is a bad thing in the first place, but I don't see how this past Sunday was an example of running up the score when the majority of the scoring took place in the second quarter.  No team every pulls their starters before half time... no matter how much they are ahead.

Running up the score would be going for a field goal instead of just running the ball so the other team could get it back, and not taking out the starting quarterback after one series in the 3rd.

Yes, write off the jets. Another year, another heartbreak, it's always the same. ::Sniffles::

Its not all bad for the Jets though.  Even though Sanchez might have a few awful games this season, he is only a rookie so it is expected.  I think (coming from a Pats fan) that you guys have a talented young quarterback that will be the face of your franchise for years to come.

You are right. Championship, Peyton Manning, harder division, and conference...better D, even without Bob Sanders...etc. Saints are really good though.

I'd have to give it to the Colts cause they seem better on all three stages. But yeah let's go Saints, they might have just won me some money, now if the Giants can come through...

Saints best offense and colts have 2nd best offense but colts have a far better defense especially on the pass. But then again, colts opponents haven't been as tough as saints. Its extremely close but i'll give it to colts. Beating giants was pretty big though

Sonarus, I'd still kind of like to know why playing the starters in the second quarter is running up the score...

I understand that you dislike the Patriots, but I am sure that you can come up with more credible reasons than not pulling starters in the second half.  Do the Colts pull Peyton Manning and take a knee every play every time they get a thirty point lead?

Also, I was a bit disappointed today, to be honest.  The Patriots won big, but they really didn't play that great, especially considering it was against the Bucs.  The game was pretty boring too, which is unusual.

The Pats have outscored to awful teams 94-7 in the past two games (or something like that)... pretty exciting stuff!  **Snore**

The Giants didn't look anything like themselves though but it was still a pretty big win though

Since the first 2 weeks of the season the colts don't even looked like they have been challenged. They score very quick on offense and make very few mistakes allowing their defense to play the pass. Considering how many times teams throw against them and to still maintain a pass defense that good, i have to give the colts props (also they are my favorite team)

If the colts can beat san fran as easily as they beat all the other teams and Houston as well then they are a shoe in to win their division. Houston is a dangerous team but defensively they are rather average. Houston is a passing team facing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Only 2 TD passes allowed for the whole season their weakness is the run game and houston hasn't been able to run for at all this yr.

A huge matchup will be sunday night football patriots @ colts. They play pretty much every yr now. Should be interesting to see who would win that match up

I wish the Patriots and Colts alternated between Gillette Stadium and Lucas Oil Stadium (is that what its called...?) every season.  Its been a few years since they played one in Gillette.

Don't be intimidated with playing indy at home...a REAL opponent without weather conditions.

Patriots @ Colts will be a TRUE test for both teams to see how good both are. Colts have been excellent all yr and though pats have 2 losses they have been pretty good especially against bad opponents.

Both have great defenses and great offenses. The x factor will be tom brady. He hasn't been great against good pass defenses and Manning has pretty much had his way with any defense all season. If colts get off to a quick start like they seem to always do then Pats are done. Colts have the ability to generate pressure and sack Brady and should get a couple of turnovers because of this.

Both teams are good though so could go either way
