That is awesome that he is getting his life back. It is a shame that people would judge somebody just by the way they look.

If you look closely at the before surgery picture - it looks like he is wearing some sort of prosthetic nose piece. You can see the different skin tones from where his original skin ends and the plastic piece starts.

Wow, that is amazing. 
Esp. considering he is regaining his sense of smell and sense of touch.

I'm surprised to see this was possible, feels like something out of a sci-fi film.

Medicine is further along than i thought.

Its amazing how some people get a 2nd chance.Similar events happened in Russia with a man who was mauled by a bear and a French woman who was attacked by a pack of dogs.The face transplants weren't perfect but the courage to continue living after experiences like that is inspiring.
