Simcity is coming along so nice...

  I know. I want this one! But I was wondering what would happen if I made a crime ridden city. A place where crime rules all. How will that help my neighbors?

As my friend put it, now that we're able to understand how these games are supposed to work we're gonna get it. Can't wait for this.

Well man in February I will be able to be back on the PC more.... I will be able to jump on for games there....


Jvid, Skv, Acid, Farsendor, ford gt, Jmare, Skud, Flip, Drugdog when he can and others play games together.... all depending on games and that though eh... Some like FPS other like games like strategy games...




Do you like or have CIV V man... that is good to play with online but it really helps the game move with the Gods and kings expansion...
the sims I am sure  a more than a few will get it... so that will be good ....

I do have Civ V.  Haven't gotten the Gods and Kings expansion yet, but will eventually.  I've gotten so many games recently, and started playing EVE again, I don't know how I'm even going to have time to play Sim City haha, but I'll make time.

There is no save feature, you can't have more than one city at a time, you can't set taxes individually, there is no subway, no terrain mod tools and you have to stay online all the time to play the game. Doesn't seem to good to me.

As much as I want this game to be good, I am just not sure. Even water mains are gone, power lines, What hasnt been taken out of the game?

This is looking really good, I don't complain about online-all-the-time stuff so long as the game is built around being online, which this appears to be. Assassins Creed DRM was a huge debacle because it was just a single player game...
 
 

 

A very disturbing thought has awoken me. What if SimCity has become The Sims? Selling you half a game for twice the price and then small portions of the other half as $40 expansion packs?

You cannot defend online all the time. You can never defend online all the time. What if you want to play a single player game? What if you're flying on a plane? What if your connection drops, what if you cannot get connected. You cannot play that game you just spent 60 dollars on. That you bought, that you spent hard earned money on.
DRM is bull****, DRM is bad, but this is the worst DRM that any games company can come up with. It ruined Diablo 3 and it WILL ruin Sim City unless they remove it.

The online only thing doesn't bother me, I'll just download a crack like I did for every Ubisoft game.  They can try all they want, but people still manage to make cracks for these games that allow them to be played offline.
