One of my most anticipated games is almost here YEEEEE!! I won't read the review for spoiler sake but man I'm psyched for this one. The first STALKER was the best first person game I played since VTM: Bloodlines and Deus Ex before it (which will always remain my favorite).

Oh yeah, f**k Bloodsuckers!!

Never played the first Stalker but I heard good things about it. The prequel looks great, do you need to have the first stalker installed on your computer to play the second game or not ?

Nope stand alone, I'd highly suggest playing the original first though even though Clear Sky is a prequel, there are some spoilers to the original's storyline.

I think I pick up the first one and the second one then. Is there any difference from buying the first one off Steam or buying it from retail because I've heard of some problems with the Steam version.

The story in this one shouldn't rely on the first too much since there are rumours of a console port. They wouldn't want to alienate those who missed the first. That's probably why it doesn't have the number "2" in the name.

I'm praying for that port since the game sounds so interesting, but it would likely cause my PC to choke on it's own vomit and die.

Doesn't have a 2 because it's a prequel, but there is a BIG spoiler from the first game in this one.

This is a full sequal?! I thought it was more of an expansion thing.

PREQUEL
, takes place before the events in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and yes it's a full stand alone game with gameplay and AI improvements over the first game. There are some story elements from the first that this one includes so even though it's a prequel, if you didn't play the first there will be some spoilers if you decide to go back and play Shadow Over Chernobyl.
